best console pure racing sim attempt, far from best racer

yes it's a huge improvement over gt4. Done are the unrealistic, but boring understeer physics, lack of road conditions that affect any traction, all cars feeling like FF cars, bad loosy force feedback, etc. This time it's actually reasonably realistic. It's now a game thats good for drifting and racing.
It does have the worst g25 clutch support of any racing simulator i've tried. The shifting is terrible how you have to shift really slowly and not throttle at all. It kills your heel toe skills.
drift mode needs some big improvements. you can drift really well and get a mediocre score and wise versa. it registers extreme angles as failing, even if you are still in control and able to slide around the corner. generally to get a good score, it seems to be racing line>speed>angle. it should be the other way around. It also would of been cool if you can drift with the ai.
Other than that, the handling is pretty good. Way better than forza, where cars steer themselves, but you can't drift high angles. It's as close to Tokyo Xtreme Racer Drift 2, as i've seen. Maybe slightly ahead of txrd2, though you can still debate. It is a lot of fun, and not really frustrating. Tires don't seem to wear really easily, and it doesnt seem like you have to worry about brake/torque steer too much.

tuning is pretty good. again not as good as txrd2 which i use as my benchmark to compare racers. No setting steering angles, ebrake strength, etc here. Better than forza though since i can drive with different tires on the front and back.

The course list is reasonable. The best new course is the special route for racing with high powered cars. It reminds me of old txr wangan games. Not quite as good as racing battle c1gp for a circuit racer with highway courses closed off. Unfortunetly there aren't really any real new circuits that I really like.

You can't get weather, and night on all courses. Still no touge courses, or actual ability to make one. The course maker is more like a random generator, and you cant set it to be like a touge. Also no new really good drift courses, or ai that would twin drift, since I love drifting. I personally would of liked seeing a touge course, but tokyo xtreme racer drift 2 is still the game to play for that. And still the better overall game in my opinion.
Even without touge, I would of liked to see ebisu, gunsai, nikko circuit, etc.
