Slasher, yes. Amazing game, yes. Revolutionary, no and don't go in expecting it to be.

Not much can be said that hasn't already been said. There are certain games that you play, and as soon as you boot the game up you just now that it is revolutionary. Games like Zelda, Resident Evil, Doom, World of Warcraft, and even more recently Heavy Rain. This is not one of them and if you go into the game expecting it to be something new and have revolutionary gameplay you will be disappointed. My suggestion is to just play the game and enjoy the experience because if you do you will fall in love with this game. Yes, this game is a button masher but its one like no other. On the higher difficulties you have to learn strategies, individual weaknesses and plan your next step at all times.

It is a game that is not meant to play on an easy setting and I strongly encourage people buying this game to play on Titan difficulty. It will be frustrating at times but success is that much more rewarding and if/when you challenge a GOD and win you will feel a sense of accomplishment. The grand scale of everything in this game adds to the EPIC feeling that consumes you when playing. You keep playing just to see what might come next and what visual eye candy is coming your way. This game refines almost every element of the previous God of War games but doesn't sway from what made those games successful. A fitting end to the series. if you are debating of whether to get this game,, wait no longer. It will be worth the ride.
