  1. World Map

    While on the world map, press B and Select at the same time, and you will see the world map.

    When you're on the ship, hold down the A button and press the B button 55 times to access the hidden puzzle game.

  3. Tomb of Erdrick/Link

    In Elfland, just beside the White Mage shop, there are three tombstones. Two of them are ordinary tombstones, but the one on the left is different. It is the tomb of Erdrick. Erdrick is a character from Dragon Warrior, another very popular game series produced by Enix. In the Japanese version of FF1 (and in PSX's Final Fantasy Origins), the tomb says ''Here lies Link'' instead. Link, of course, is the hero of the Legend of Zelda series.

  4. Secret Invisible Guard.

    In the first castle, there is what appears to be an empty space right above Queen Jane's room and below the person going right and left. Check the lower right corner of this area to find out that there is an invisible person here. Talk to him and he will tell you something before and after you save Princess Sarah.

  5. House Bug Solution

    There are many bugs in the NES version of this game including the house restoring everyone's magic points AFTER you save. If you choose not to save, magic will not be replenished. This means if you load the game, magic will be lost. If you wish to save and later reload the game with full magic on the world map, use a house then use a tent right afterwards because tents are very cheap (you may also use a cabin to restore slightly more HP) and SAVE BOTH TIMES. At this point, you have taken full advantage of the house by reloading your saved game with full magic and replenished HP, and slightly more from a tent or cabin.

  1. Boat Mini-Game

    When you have the ship hold ''A'' and press ''B'' 55x. A sliding puzzle will appear. Put the numbers in order and you win 100gp.

  2. Extra money from boat mini-game

    When you play the boat mini-game (hold A and press B 55 times on the boat to play) you will notice three seperate times on the top-right, going from lower to higher. These are times you can beat for a lot of extra cash. Here are the rewards:

    If you complete the mini-game in under the time on the bottom, you get 2,000gp.
    If you complete the mini-game in under the time in the middle, you get a 5,000gp.
    If you complete the game in under the time on the top, you get a wopping 10,000gp!

    If you don't beat any of those times, well, you get just 100g...

  1. The REAL side puzzle game

    Once you get the ship, the real method (at least the only one I have found that works) is to hold down the X button and press O about 55 times or so. Many people and sites will say that you tap both buttons, but this hasn't worked for me. Once you bring up the slide puzzle game you can get money, potions, antidotes, and gold-needles... all without leaving the ship or risking your party's health.
    (My best record is 34.07sec and I have been able to buy whatever I want in every town I have traveled to... so far)

    When you are in a battle that you are about to lose press the home button on the ipod or iphone and then tap Final Fantasy again and tap resume on the main menu. You should be at the same place as you were when you got in the battle with all the items and health you had before the battle.

Final Fantasy Cheats For PSP

  1. Equipment Glitch

    This glitch will allow you to equip characters with normally-unusable weapons or armor and also generate and duplicate armor you already have (which can in turn be sold for endless amounts of Gil). To begin, enter the Configuration menu and change the cursor to Memory. From there, go to the Equip menu for a Warrior and select the slot you want to select equipment from. Next, place a unit next to the Warrior and select where the equipment will go to. Return to the Warrior's menu and the cursor should already be on the previously-selected slot. At this point, press L/R and X at the same time to switch to the recipient unit.<p />

    This can be done to give weapons to other characters that cannot wield these weapons, and the same for armor. More curiously, the glitch can be used to put weapons or armor in slots they are not meant to be in. This can either cause simple benefits (for example, equipping the Maximillian on the White Mage's head simply applies the boosts, though these boosts are much higher than normal for helms) or cause item transformations (such as making the Hammer turn into Knight's Armor).

    When you're on a boat, hold X and repeatedly tap Circle button (for the JP version, hold Circle and repeatedly tap X button). Then you should be able to play 15 Puzzle minigame.
