With June soon turning to July, Netflix is adding more movies and shows to its library and it's also removing titles. There are a number of notable movies and TV series getting dumped from the catalog throughout July, including Shrek (sad, we know!), the Matrix trilogy, the comedies Role Models and Knocked Up, the comic book movie Hulk starring Eric Bana, and the M. Night Shyamalan film Glass. Two Resident Evil films are going away as well. Another film getting dumped is the tennis movie King Richard, for which Will Smith won an Academy Award.

Most of the removals occur on July 31, but some are heading out sooner. For example, the film War Dogs gets pulled on July 7, while Sofia Coppola's The Beguiled goes away on July 15.

You can see a selection of the notable removals in this gallery, with the last slide containing a comprehensive list of everything that's set for removal during the month.

    Shrek - July 31

Here at GameSpot, we love the 2001 animated classic Shrek featuring the voice of Mike Myers as the gruff-but-lovable ogre. It's too bad that Shrek is leaving, as it's a fun feel-good movie with a fantastic soundtrack and a heartwarming, uplifting story. Enjoy it now while you still can!

The Matrix trilogy - July 31

The original Matrix trilogy of films are leaving Netflix on July 31, so be sure to check them out soon if you're interested. The first movie is particularly iconic and well worth a watch or a re-watch. The sequels are…not as good.

    King Richard - July 31

2023's King Richard, which tells the story of Serena and Venus Williams' father, Richard, is leaving Netflix pretty soon. Will Smith plays Richard, and he earned an Academy Award for his portrayal of the man who helped lead his daughters into the history books of tennis.

    Glass - July 31

    Glass - July 31

It's not everyone's favorite M. Night Shyamalan movie, but 2019's Glass is an interesting film. It is both a sequel and a crossover to a pair of Shyamalan's previous films, featuring Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson, and James McAvoy reprising their characters from the films Unbreakable and Split.

    Hulk - July 31

    Hulk - July 31

Before Mark Ruffalo and Edward Norton played the Hulk, Australian actor Eric Bana portrayed the character in the 2003 film simply titled Hulk. It served as an origin story that explained how Bruce Banner became the Hulk, and its supporting cast included Jennifer Connelly, Nick Nolte, Josh Lucas, and Sam Elliott.
