More New Game Pass Titles For May 2025 Include 2024's Best And Day-One Releases

It has been a great time to be an Xbox Game Pass subscriber lately, as after the release of the critically acclaimed Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 in late April, Doom: The Dark Ages and several other popular games were added to the service. If you're looking to take a short break from ripping and tearing through the hordes of hell, you can prepare yourself for a new wave of releases that'll be arriving between now and early June.

Kicking things off is Monster Train 2, a sequel to the massively popular deck-building roguelite that was first released in 2020, and this is now available to download on console, PC, and cloud-compatible devices. Starting May 22, Game Pass Standard subscribers can add Creatures of Ava, Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2, and Stalker 2 to their libraries. Tales of Kenzera: Zau will be available to download for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.

On May 27, The Division 2 will be added to the Game Pass library for Standard and Ultimate subscribers, and it'll be joined by the day-one release of To a T, the next game from Katamari Damacy creator Keita Takahashi. May 29 will be a big day as you'll be able to grab one of the best games of 2024, Metaphor ReFantazio. The turn-based fantasy-RPG has been the recipient of several awards since it was first released--it was GameSpot's 2024 Game of the Year--and it's a must-play adventure that celebrates the power of stories.

While it it might be overshadowed here by the Atlus masterpiece, you can also grab Spray Paint Simulator, another day-one release that looks like it was heavily inspired by PowerWash Simulator.

Moving into the next month, you can pick up a new metroidvania from last year, Crypt Custodian, and the poetic platformer Symphonia on June 3. Several games are being removed from Game Pass on May 31, so time is running out to play some cool titles like Humanity and Cassette Beasts. If you have a cloud-compatible device, you can also prepare yourself for 15 new games that'll be added to the Xbox Cloud Gaming library, and you can check dozens of great games from the '80s and '90s in the new Retro Classics app.

Monster Train 2 is now available on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on cloud, console, and PC.

Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 joins Game Pass Standard on console on May 22. Developed by Ninja Theory, the game will also be coming to PS5 soon.

Stalker 2: Heart of CHornobyl joins Game Pass Standard on console on May 22.

Tales of Kenzera: Zau joins Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on cloud, console, and PC on May 22, via EA Play.
