I believe that would be solely dependent on where your gamestop is located. If your Gamestop is located in a rather big city, than it would be safe to assume, the midnight launch will be quite populated with enthusiastic gamers. ;)

Long line... I doubt it, it's pretty easy to get it here in the city as of right now, I thought it'd be sold out already. At midnight launch there should be plenty to go around, it's on two consoles and PC, there won't be a shortage unless you're in a small town.
there may be a pretty long line where i live. Pretty suburban area but the guy at the one gasmestop i pre ordered from said that there were over 400 pre orders! also mentioned that was more than halo and GTA... sooo expecting a descent line lol.
it all depends where u go. ok in my city there three game stops on one street ones in mall though. game stop across from the mall and if drive about two-3 more mins there's other gamestop (this is where this main street starts to die do people don't go farther) first one by the mall is always packed at midnight lol but if u drive about three mins farther they have small line lol. It funny to watch how close they are and ones packed and other isn't
also other way u can beat line is doing the opposite lol. no joke come about 15 mins later, line be cut in half if its long. then just sit in car list to radio and let line die. but there is a side effect of this do get there to late. stores do midnights will only remain open till there is no line and no one comes for a few min's
this economy is not hurting no big games lol. it will only hurt small games that are new, or never been big to the world. Big games to people is like bill gates getting a new building in china with 20% discount
I'm in Nashua, NH and there's 4 Gamestops in a 10 mile radius here. (2 in the same mall, one across from that mall, one on the other side of town) and just the one I preordered at (one of the mall ones, because the midnight is inside and it's not FREEZING,) the clerk informed me that this Gamestop alone had 800 preorders :o So it's safe to say, yeah, it'll be a big crowd. Expect the unexpected for this one :P
I don't really know where you live but I can more than 99% assure you that it will available at pretty much every retail with some kind of electronics department. You'll be set.
If you live in Canada like me in a relativity medium sized city with a decent number of stores selling games then i doubt you will have much of a problem. If you live in a bigger city with not enough game stores then you can expect a midnight launch.
I dont even understand why so many people even go to a midnight launch. Its not like you can even play the game when you pick it up, You have to go to work in the morning or others have to go to school, You wont be playing it until after that at which point if you pre ordered it you know your copy is waiting for you so why wait inline like an idiot when the end result is exactly the same.
Ill never understand it.I have MW2 Paid in full at EB. Ill pick it up Tuesday after work go home and play. Getting it at midnight, going home, going to sleep, going to work, killing myself over wanting to play it makes no sense. Just wait.
Not unless you've taken tuesday, wednesday and thursday off from work, and all three days of college are cancelled for Veteran's Day services ;) Looks like I've got three days starting at 12:01am to play me some MW2.
It really depends but I have a life to live and i have it is a school night haha so Tuesday=bad day for midnight launch

All Games release on tuesdays. Well the majority anyway... just like new movie releases in the theatre are on Fridays, and dvds are on... mondays? I'm not too sure on that one.
I went to my local Asda (owned by Wal-Mart) at midnight to pick up Mirrors Edge. This was the same midnight that COD WAW was being released. There was hundreds of people there for WAW and I just live in a small town. The queue reached outside the store and into the car park. Luckily for me they served people who wanted WAW away from the main gaming section, so I was able to go to the gaming section, buy Mirrors Edge without having to queue for two hours, and leave straight away.
Anyway, the point I'm trying to make is yes, if you go to the midnight launch of MW2, chances are the queue will be huge.
