it's really confining, and good online games are becoming more and more and they keep on coming with UT3 and GOW 2 coming, not 2 mention gta 4 has decent online. I'm just wondering if MS is ever planning to expand the friends list even to 150 friends. Its really hard to have less than 100 friends so how come ms is not addressing this issue ? and i've seen a lot of people complain about this friendslist but idk...

i agree, but on the other hand i don't think anyone outside the game fanatic community really has more than a 100 friends sighnd on XBL.

I'm not disagreeing or anything, but how did you manage 100 friends? I've been playing online non-stop for 4 months and I only have about 10 friends...

The only people that are on my friends list are my actual friends and people I play with occasionaly over xbl. I don't keep people on my list that I only play with 3-4 times then never again.

I don't really care. I haven't hit the limit and I don't think im very close to it either.

But seriously, who honestly keeps up with 100 people on a regular basis in videogames.

Im not saying less is better, but seems rather pointless to needlessly expand the limits and put out a patch pointlessly taking up space on alot of people's 360.

they have to restrict the amount somewhere, otherwise they wouldn't have enough data space for everyone around the world...and 100 is a pretty good number in my opinion. With the increasing number of people signing onto xbox live, i doubt that they will increase data space anytime soon...

100 is more than enough for me. The most I've had is about 50, but whenever I get that many I start getting rid of people I haven't played with recently. I normally try to keep it down to 30-40 people, but even then I probably only regularly talk to 5 each week.

if you play your xbox more than you post here, then you would hit the limit in no time. I meet friends at GOW,TF2,halo + local friends. I live in a small country where it lags when we play with US people, which consists the majority of XBL users, so if I can't find a "join session in progress" game i would have a hard time playing a decent online game, hence the 100 friends. And i dunno what to do because now i'm having a hard time adding friends over GTA 4, let alone when ut3 and gow 2 comes out.

Seriously, how can you have more than a 100 friends I bet half of those friends of yours don't play with you or don't talk to you.

I maxed out a few times, but now I've been just deleting friends as I move through games. Example: I no longer play GRAW 2 or Frontlines online, so those on my friend list whom were listed because I played those 2 games with them were removed in order to add new friends for my new online games GTA IV & Rainbow Six Vegas 2.

You don't need 100 people on your friends list. Most of those people you don't remember or play with.

So remove half of those people and make room for real gamers.

I doubt MS will ever expand the # of friends on the list - since it's been like that since the beginning. Honestly, I doubt anyone really plays with 100 people on a regular basis.

But, I do think MS will add a Clan component to XBL, whether sooner or later (praying for the Spring Update). That way, you can be in contact with another 100, or even 200 people that you enjoy playing with, in addition to your friends list. This feature could really set apart XBL from "the rest" of the competition.

Yeah, 100 people is kind of lame. At least another 50 or 100. I've gotten to a point where i send and recieve messages from just about everyone on my list.
