Okay so Fable III was a highly anticipated game (well, for me atleast cause I've been hooked on ever since the franchise was released). But once I saw the GameSpot review I thought to myself, is it worth buying? considering I'm a massive fan, I'm having doubts. Its Been a long time since Fable III has released but its Christmas time and I can buy a nice, worthwhile gift, which should probably last long. For those of you who have completed Fable III, I ask you, Is the story mode as short as Fable II? Man, What a crisis, Sheesh. crazy_dude_crazI think this is for the Game Recommendations Thread Sticky
Anyways, as a Fable fan I didn't like Fable 3 at all. The story mode is a bit longer, if you do the few side quests that are there. I would rent it

I enjoyed Fable III somewhat, but at times it just felt like a reskinned Fable II with some dumbed down features. Not to mention that after a week of playing it my game completely glitched out and I couldn't continue, but I hear it has been patched.
If you are a fan of the series, then I would pick it up, or at least rent it. I don't think it is horrible or anything, jut not as amazing as I hoped it would be. It is funny though and there are a couple of excellent side missions, I will give it that.

I played Fable 3 and really enjoyed it, espically the combat aspect of it even if it is just pressing a few buttons but it feels rhythmic also. The story is good due to the good and bad choices to choose from. Quests are a plenty all over the playable map. The surrounds, weapons and own character changes depending on your choices which is also plain to say but also good too. All in all its a rather good game to play and can be played over a lot of hours.
Yes you should buy it. I hear (on this forum by people) its better then Fable 2 so if you liked Fable 2 your gonna like Fable 3 even more. If you didn't like Fable 2 I hear (also on this forum) what plagued Fable 2 is fixed for Fable 3. So its really a win win either way you look at it. If your unsure about it then just hold off on it and let the price drop for the game so you can get it on the cheap side. Theres really no losing anyway you look at it. Thats what I am doing for every single game I'll pay no more then $20 used (FF13 soon) if I really really want it and all the others I'll wait until it gets to $10 used. If your planning on doing that just check between Best Buy and Gamestop on used game price drops they are the best around.
Hope that helps.
