Hey fellow gamers, I have all systems me and my 3 kids love to play all games and I am just at the point seems as though I never get to play , I mean Skyrim level 8. Batman have not defeated iceman yet, uncharted 2 still going. Gears 1 beat it but not 2. Stuck on the swamp monster . Of course we Play all CODs that's a given. Demon souls still going...And the list could keep going with games. My point I enjoy playing but being a dad. Husband, associate pastor and o yea my 9-5 job. It's. Crazy any suggestions on more gaming time? Seriously real suggestions. Thank in advance :)

Yea I have Wii, 360, and PC to play. I'm about to use a 12 month gold card so I can get back up into online gaming, have just bought Xenoblade and Super Paper Mario (it was $15, don't judge :P).

And for PC I got loads of games cus of the Xmas Steam event (for free, cuz Steam is just that awesome :D) Though some I have bought.

I have 90 games that still need playing, with some highlights such as Bastion, Saint's Row the Third, Deus Ex: HR, Amnesia, CoD4, Costume Quest, Gotham City Imposters, Dead Island, Dirt 3, Dungeon Defenders, GTA VC, Just Cause 2, all the Half-Lives, L.A. Noire Complete edition, L4D2, Limbo, Portal 1 and 2, Prince of Persia SoT, Red Faction Armaggedon, Super Meat Boy, Terraria, The Witcher (1), Torchlight, Trine 1 + 2....

It's gonna be a helluva summer

EDIT: Didn't see your question, my answer: The summer vacation will be your friend! :D

Unless you don't get a vacation, then I can offer no advice :P

I wouldn't assume that we all play CoD, you'll probably get some hate for that! But I can relate in a way, I've got exams and such going on at the moment. Once they're all over at the end of this month of got some serious game time planned!

Yep. Between work, making music and spending time with the mrs/friends/family I pretty much get 0 time to play games these days. :( The joys of getting older!

Same for me. As I aged I went form having too much time and not enough games and money (replaying games multiple times) to having enough money to buy the games I wanted and not enough time to play them. After I moved (and was forced to actually 'look at' and pack my collection), I realized the stupidity of it all. I had over 80 PS3 games of which 60+ were not even opened. The same story (though not to that degree) applied to PS2, DS, PSP, etc, etc, etc. So now I am in the process of selling off my collection

kinda ya.

I don't have any kids, but i do work 50-60hrs a week. When i want to play my games i feel too tired to even start them.

As long has everything goes to plan. Maybe in 1-2 more years i will have my house i want and stop working crazy hours to get what i want. SOON 1/2 saved up for it.

Yes, I sure can. I don't have the desire to play quite as much as I used to anyway, but a little more time would be great.

Yup, I agree. I make gaming a priority, but I still don't have enough time to play everything I want. :)

Here are two suggestions, with drastically different approaches (I'm in the same boat as you): Pick ONE game...something that you know you'll be able to get into (Super Paper Mario is a solid game...ain't no shame in this game). Anyway, stick with that game until you finish it. Most new games have good checkpoint systems/save systems, so that you can play for 30 minutes after the kids go to bed a few times a week....and before long, you will devour it. It will feel GREAT to finish a game again. I rarely get to do that anymore, but is is a joy to see the end credits... Word of caution...pick a game that is relatively short to start with (i.e. 6-12 hours)...or even something downloadable (i.e. Journey on PS3, the Walking Dead, etc.). Second option: Only play a game as long as it interests you. Once you have reached a point where you are having a hard time putting that disc in your console...SELL IT. There is no reason to hang on to all of those games if you (and I) know that you aren't going to play it before the next generation of consoles come out. As I'm aging, I am finding myself enjoying more light-hearted experiences...so, I'm taking this approach more than I used to...rent a game through Gamefly, play it until I've hit that "point" and then send it back to try out the next game I'm interested in. I typically buy games that I know I will stick with for a long time (Skyrim, sports games), but otherwise I just consume games in a different manner than I used to.

Why sell? Maybe he collects games. I have tons of games I've never even played. I love to collect.

I work a full time job, so I dont have too much time, but I still have enough spare time to play a little. Come August I wont though. Working a full time job and taking care of a baby boy, my hands will be full.

gamerfreak1991

That happened to me a few years ago, getting a WoW subscription helped A LOT (to my wallet specially).

Now I have no time to play so I'm like OP but with a 360 only :P

my advice to you is just enjoy what little time you have to play games because it makes it that much better. I remember the days when i had a full time job, in church, a dad and a husband. My time to play games was limited as well. I remeber thinking the same thing as you, "i wish i had more time to play games." Well, i got fired from a job i been with for 10 years, got divorced and lost every thing and live with my mom and cant find a job. Now video games is pretty much all i have to do. Its not the same as when i sat down for an hour of two from a long day at work, helping with dinner and taking care of my daughter as it was a relaxing time. Now its like "well i have nothing to do so i'll just play games" lol. Seriously, enjoy life and what you got, and just play when you can and don't think about trying to find more time to play. God may pull a prank on you like he did the children of Isreal who complained they didnt get to eat meat in the desert and he answered that request and all the got to eat was meat until they got sick of it.
