Anyone will buy Doom 3 BFG Edition? (FALL)

I'm pretty sure I'll get it...
Haven't played it before.
(Just first hour, but it doesnt count..)

Overall it looks pretty good as for Xbox and Ps3.

Nope. Didn't enjoy having to beat everything with a flashlight. Plus I didn't enjoy it that much when it came out anyways.

The flashlight is now built into the armour, sounds like you can't manage your ammo/aim properly.

Beat it on the original Xbox and haven't played it since. It wasn't a bad game, but the BFG edition looks identical to what I already played. If everything was re-done with new graphics ala the Halo anniversary, I'd then consider it.

I've never been a great Doom 3 fan mostly because of the "not beeing able to shoot while holding the flashlight" thing, but with the flashlight mounted on the armor, better graphics and 3D support... it's now very interesting indeed! I will probably buy this version.

Having the light attached to the armor will be nice, but this didn't bother me much in the original.

Not to mention it will have the first two games included.

if it's $20 I'll prolly pick it up because I never got to play the expansion and it has 7 new levels but if it's a $40-$60 I'll wait and buy it used when it's $20.

they are re-releasing an "enhanced" edition of Doom 3 on the Xbox 360 and PS3. It comes with the expansion and 7 new levels plus the flaslight is mounted on your armor instead of having to put your gun away and pull out the flashlight.That's all anyone knows about it. But more than likely it will be an on disc at retailers kinda thing because it also comes with Doom 1 & 2

I'm definitely interested, but if it costs more than $20 count me out until it does. I never had the balls to play the original when I owned it on the Xbox (I was 11 or 12 though), but I love horror games now, so I'll definitely see what the fuss is about. I'm just not interested in paying a good sum for an eight-year old game.

This is the first I have heard about this, but yeah I want it! but it is like an HD re-release right? but with all the extra content? By the extra content, I assume it is the Resurrextion of Evil expansion pack? I have always wanted that but I don't think it was backwards compatible so I never got it. The only downside to this is I already have Doom I and II on XBLA. I also assume it will have achievements? and would it tie in with the XBLA games? or maybe it is a disc version of the XBLA games? I do want this for the HD re-release (assuming it is that), expansion pack and extra levels though! :).Ashley_wwe

Flashlight integrated is good. And it wasnt about aim or saving ammo. I just found it easier to swing my flashlight and see what I'm fighting than switch between it and a gun and shoot in the dark.

I've played through the original version of Doom 3 (on PC, though) about 5 times. I'll probably pick up the BFG Edition. However, I'm pissed off that there doesn't seem to be the option to play with the original flashlight instead of the armor-mounted one. I know I'm probably the only one in the world who actually liked having to frantically toggle between weapon and flashlight, but that's me. There is still time for them to add that, though. I'm hoping.

I didn't even hear about this until now but yeah I'll get since I really liked it on the PC and won't mind playing again for the third or fourth time. I really can't remember exactly how many times I've played it.

I'll think about it. Used if anything. Unfortunately I have Doom 3 but can't play it on my Xbox 360 Slim since I upgraded

I am still thinking about it. If it is reasonably priced, I will most likely get it on my 360 since I already have the games on my PC. Even though I have the XBLA version of Doom and Doom 2 my 360, I'll still buy the game for Doom 3 + ROE + The Lost Missions due to the fact I'm a fan and don't mind having those games on my 360.

I hope they make it like the flashlight in Half-Life, where it only holds limited charge but recharges itself.

Probably not. I didn't enjoy it too much when it first came out. Story got real boring, the scares got predictable and it became a chore to complete it.

i loved doom 3, i still dont know how i feel about the armor mounted flashlight, but my first thought was "neat" but upon reading more about it online and what others were saying, i started to agree it might hurt the fear factor

regardless tho, ill get it, like i said, i love doom 3

I enjoyed Doom 3 on the PC and then later on the Xbox. I actually liked the original flashlight, I felt that it added some suspense, and difficulty to a lesser extent. Who knows though, if I find it when the price is right I might pick it up, definitely not a day 1 purchase for me however.
