Not really, don't really care enough. I think the controller looks pretty good but I can't really judge it until I actually use it.The new controller looks silly.
Is anyone else annoyed that they're making some content in destiny exclusive for PS4?

It's a bit ridiculous. It seems like it would be easy to make it backwards compatible.:P

The architecture of the system is totally different. Your going from a cell processor to an X86 APU. I am not shocked at all, had they included backwards compatibility I would not want to be the guy whose job it is to handle it.

it would be way more expensive, i wonder if we could get to download the games we have through Gaikai thoughThey don't have a final design done yet, they haven't managed to fit all the components for a design yetLaunch titles look solid, controller looks decent, but I would have really liked to see the new console. Just a single photo would have gotten me really excited.

Had to look up what that was. Since Sony owns the company it makes it an easier option then if they didn't but like you said it would be expensive and somehow Sony doesn't strike me as sympathetic enough to care.
[QUOTE="bugbag"]What's wrong with it not being backwards compatible anyway? I kind of don't see the appeal of it honestly. :?It's a bit ridiculous. It seems like it would be easy to make it backwards compatible.:P

I'm the same way myself. Back when I had consoles I never sold any of the older ones. Backwards compatibility didn't matter to me. I guess having a bunch of consoles plugged in is a lot worse than having one plugged in.

No, I just don't want to have to re-buy a PS3 if my current one breaks. I could just buy a PS4 and move into the next generation while replacing my PS3.No, I just don't want to have to re-buy a PS3 if my current one breaks. That's a good point, messed up as it is that we have to think that way these days. My original SNES, N64 and PS1 still work.

it's not really about sympathetic, it's just simple business, and it is just too complicated as it is.I finished watching the two hours video, and I gotta say, I'm impressed. However, this console seems REALLY focused on heavily integrated online features.ShadowofSonicmeh, it's going to have an offline mode

Who went crazy over the Killzone footage? :PShadowofSonic
I wouldn't get your hopes up. If I recall didn't they show some really awesome footage of Killzone 2 at the PS3 release that ended up not looking much like the final game ?

I was just wowed by the grpahics. :PIt's gotta be one of the most technically gorgeous games I've ever seen.ShadowofSonicit's not the graphics that stood out to me, it was the colors
It looked nice, but I'm expecting the game to look even better.[QUOTE="ShadowofSonic"]Who went crazy over the Killzone footage? :Pbugbag
Setting yourself up for disapointment me thinks. I'm a pessimist though.
Do you guys think that they will focus more on bigger games rather then better graphics?The_Last_Ride
I think that will vary from studio to studio. Some will go for scope like open world games and some will go for graphics like shooters.
I would love to see the next Elder Scrolls on the PS4. :DShadowofSonic
I've never really liked them as much as other people do. I don't think they're bad games at all, they're just not my kind of RPG. They are huge games meant to get lost in and I prefer the Bioware types that are heavy on dialogue, choices and connects me more to the story.
The games certainly have a lot of flaws, such as poor combat, etc.ShadowofSonic
One major upside to the PC version is the community for the Elder Scrolls games has always been fantastic. When Skyrim came out there was thousands of mods available in the first month and many bugs were being fixed by the community faster than Bethesda was pumping them out. One guy even modded Oblivion to look better than vanilla Skyrim.
I would love to see the next Elder Scrolls on the PS4. :DShadowofSonicMost definitely!:D
@TLR Nope. Games are more focused on being like movies now, and the size of games seems to be decreasing more and more. I think a few developers will use the power more wisely though. I think a prequel to Dishonored would work perfectly.
Wow. ._.
I wonder how long that must've taken.
ShadowofSonic
Apparently I mispoke, it was a team of modders. Still impressive. Here is a link to a trailer for it from 2011.
