A couple that come to mind for me are Silent Hill 3 and 4. I've only played Silent Hill 2, but I believe 3 and 4 are also highly regarded. I started playing 3 a little bit last weekend on the PS2. I was somehow able to manage playing the PS2 on an HDTV lol. How about you, SW? What old games do you still want to play some day?

Blinx. It's an original Xbox game. It's on Game Pass, but I've been busy with other games. I do hope to play it some day.

ReCore, I pick that game up on Steam winter sale almost 2 years ago. I've been meaning to play that game since it came to PC all those years ago. Just been busy playing other games and stuff, wanted to play it but just didn't have time to do so. Hopefully I'll change that this year when I'm ready to do some backlogging if there's no new releases games in my way.

Many, heavily in a 3D Slasher mood thanks to the reveal of Ninja Gaiden 4 & the amazing repackaged Soul Reaver.

Just got the platinum for Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition too. Think next I'll revisit the original Bayonetta.

Will eventually start playing more recent games in the genre; Soulstice is on my list as always wanted to check that game out.

Basically going to cram as many in the genre as humanly possible before NG4's release which will probably end my run.

There's loads, I still want to play Epic Mickey, Metroid Prime 1&2, Zelda Breath of the wild

I just bought Simpsons Hit & Run on Gamecube, I'm determined to finish it. I played it back in the day but never finished it.

There are others of course but this popped into my head.

The list is long, but Phantasy Star IV and Chrono Trigger are pretty high up there on it.

Have The Last Story for the Wii still sitting on my shelf waiting to be played. Never played the Lunar games but plan on getting the remastered ones when they come out. Probably some others that I can’t think of at the moment.

I'm always playing older games, they're better than modern day games as a whole.

The last couple years I replayed all my favorite Ratchet and Clank games, and then played most of the ones I never got around to back in the day. This year I have tried to beat Jak 2, and play Jak 3 and Combat Racing. Jak 2 is insanely difficult, I’m surprised I even got halfway through the game as a kid. Next up are the Syphon Filter titles.

This might seem like a weird answer, but I seriously want to try any game I never have before. Sometimes I just randomly select games to play never even knowing if I'll ever play them again. You never know when a game you never suspected can absolutely blow you away.

I'd like to give TES Morrowind an honest try one of these days. I tried it just to try it out, it felt pretty dated but I think I could probably give it another go.

It's not that old, but I'd like to finish the Darksiders series. I've played them all but never beat them, I really enjoyed the story and the gameplay was accessible to me and I loved the comic book aesthetic.

Would also like to finish Kingdoms of Amalur.

Yeah, The Witcher 3 is huge, especially with expansions. The side quests are also really fun, too, so it doesn't feel like filler.

That's currently my problem right now.

I want to play through my back catalog and play some of these short <20 hour games, but at the same time AC Shadows is sitting right there on my hard drive. What little I played I enjoyed, but the game is also a lot of work and time.

The thing is...I might be done with open-world games, so might be better to just work on the shorter games for a while.

Lucky for you The Sands of Time haven't aged a day, think it's been 8 years since I played it for the first time and what an experience that was!

Yeah recently I have been going back to play some PlayStation 2 games that I missed out on. The Prince of Persia trilogy is one of the many games that I haven't played yet. Are the sequels just as good as the Sands of Time? I remember people complaining about the sequel Warrior Within being too edgy compared to Sands of Time.

I want to revisit Gears as its a series I really enjoyed back on 360 and probably the only series not overrated by xbox fans, its actually good.

Problem is only gears 1, 4 & 5 is on PC but only Gears 5 is on steam while the other 2 is on xbox PC storefront that I will never ever touch. No way I am buying an xbox obviously so the series is bit unreachable for now. But like me and ass creed discounts, I have patience and will wait for a long ass time for the games to come to steam, or hopefully the rumors are true and a collection of games comes to PS which is really beneficial as it means I get the chance to platinum it.

Warrior Within is just as good, it improves the combat from what I remember. But yeah Sands of Time is such a unique and great story, it's kinda hard to live up to. But yeah I'm sure most if not all people find WW to be a great sequel.

The Two Thrones, well the PC port is quite bad and have only dabled somewhat into emulation so I still need to play that.

If I remember correctly, I didn't enjoy WW as much as SoT because they made the prince emo, and puzzles took a backseat in favor of combat. The story wasn't as interesting and the characters not as charming, and it just didn't have this wonderful atmosphere of the first game.

I should replay SoT soon, such a great game. Before they do a horrible remake of it and tainting it forever. :P

Fallout 4 though it is not that old.

Some day, I want to replay a bunch of Commodore 64 games that I owned in the 1980s .

Lost odyssey, bought it on physical in 2016. Got it digitally recently and might actually play it now

I've been thinking of giving Metroid Fusion and Zero Mission a try. Have played the Prime trilogy plenty but very little experience with the 2d games.

Also only made it a couple hours into Half Life 2 some years back , want to complete it one day.

Currently playing F.E.A.R for the first time. Will probably play the sequel in the next year or 2. I played the demo back in the day and still remember a particular moment that scared the bejeezus outta me .

@Litchie: You should play Forgotten Sands. It has the best platforming of the whole series (honestly it's one of the most underappreciated games I can think of). It definitely has more charm then WW, not as much as SoT.
