What are the best announcements/trailers of all time?

• Playstation's $299 price announcement: this was when PlayStation was a baby, but this is arguably one of their best moments. Having that strategic price point helped them launch the original PlayStation and became the company that it is today.

• E3 2015 FF7 Remake & Shenmue 3 announcements: This is one of my favorite E3's. Invoking that nostalgia, the trailer is just amazing, even to this day. So many people were hyped that night! And they actually delivered with the first game.

• E3 2017 Breath of the Wild presentation: I remember watching this with some buddies. It was awesome. Seeing Zelda finally coming out, along with the Switch release date, had me hyped! And this trailer was really well done and epic.

What about you, SW? What are the best announcements/trailers of all time?

I really wish this game was good.

Twilight Princess reveal with Miyamoto at E3 was amazing.

The Keanu Reeves Cyberpunk 2077 reveal at E3 also kicked ass.

@sargentd: I know it's like 90% the song, but yeah, the Mad World trailer for Gears was pretty awesome.

@mrbojangles25: Nah. Marcus coming face to face with a Corpser and a bunch of Locusts at the end sold it for me. You can feel the desperation.

I have to agree the FF7 remake and LoZ Botw announcement trailers brought gaming back to its glory days of hyping much loved ips and "wants".

Might be because i was a huge Halo fan back then, but the Halo 2 and Halo 3 annoucement trailers made me wet. Same for Fallout 4.

Marcus might've been desperate in that trailer, but this is nothing compared to how lems will feel after the Sony's show.

I think FF7 Remake announcement trailer was the best trailer I seen. Mainly due to it hits the nostalgia button perfectly and the 2015 Sony E3 presentation lineup itself was quite hype. I actually cried.

Also Star Wars: The old Republic trailers never fails. I never played the games but the announcement trailers for the game and expansions is quite memorable. High quality work by Bioware.

I really enjoyed The Last of Us 2 reveal and seeing the game play for the first time.

The game turned out just as great for me at least.

Yeah, the Gears of War “Mad World” trailer was fantastic.

Mgs2 & GoW 2018

The Halo 3 Super Bowl reveal and subsequent ad campaign was among some of the best done.

@Ballroompirate: Starcraft 2 trailer was great too! For me that Starcraft 2 trailer really hyped us up massively. Really hyped for the game then, Blizzard drip fed information on new units and building on its website I think weekly (or monthly, forgot) and everytime they drop info it was all we talk about all day.

The "expand audience get more people to play games in a stupid away" was truly the weirdest of times.
