The "games that deserve a remake more than Final Fantasy 7" thread.

What games do you think deserve a remake more than the highly anticipated FF7 remake, which is due for release a few weeks after Duke Nukem Forever releases?

I say FFVI and Chrono Cross.

Daytona USA! A HD remix would do nicely, but one thing from the original they would have to keep is the AWESOME DAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYTOOOOOOOOONNNNNAAAAAA song.

Phoenix Wright would be mindblowing with high-def sprite. It's a game that largely relies on visuals for its humor, so it could be vastly funnier with a graphical leap or two

Gauntlet- Funny thing is, there was supposed to be a remake on the DS.

Also, Soul Blade- Give it better graphics and better controls. Also give it a subtitle like "Soul Blade: Soul Calibur Zero", just so SC fans who haven't played it know what it is.

In response to the TC, many games deserve a remake more than FFVII, but not many games NEED a remake more than FFVII.

I feel that about most games, but games like Pokemon where your file can get corrupt because of an old battery... it's nice to have a remake that won't die on you for decades to come. And you can play online with Heart Gold.

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask. Remastered in current gen graphics would be breathtaking, already the greatest game ever, it would only top itself. Incorporate Wii Motion Plus as well and you have a winner.

Pretty much the love child of Final Fantasy with Fire Emblem. It featured multiple parties that could be controlled on the map, and when one engaged the enemy it would turn to FF type battles.

Did I mention you had dragons at your disposal? You could feed them any item in the game and they would change forms depending on what you give them (like that ugly POS below).

This was Squaresoft's title that few knew of... probably because it never made it to the West which is a shame. Still, this is JRPG perfection on the SNES!

I would rather see more original games, honestly. Remaking **** is sort of a waste of time.

Then again, REmake is one of my top 10 games of all time, so maybe I'm totally off base on that one. Ok, change that to "remaking **** is sort of a waste of time unless it is slavishly, carefully, and exceptionally well done, with significant additions and alterations to the gameplay/content, that change the game and improve it in a meaningful way."

In the case of Torment and System Shock 2 (both of which have been mentioned several times in this thread) I don't really see the need. Both of those games have aged very well, visually and otherwise.

Hell, Torment is one of the best looking games I've ever played. I'd hate to see that gorgeous art ****ed up by a misguided attempt to make it look better, when in fact it already looks incredible.
