A Belgian retailer has allegedly been spotted putting a warning on its PlayStation 5 section, telling potential customers that they may want to reconsider their purchase due to Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard.

As pictured by Twitter user HazzadorGamin, Belgian supermarket chain Cora is claimed to have placed the notice on its shelves, which reads: “Notice to gamers, Microsoft has bought Activision! Choose your machine carefully (Call of Duty)”.

Cora has more than 60 stores in France, and 20 more in Romania, Belgium and Luxembourg.

That's a pretty odd thing for a business to do.

Only there because there's no PS5's for them to sell, while there's much more stock for the X and especially the S. No way this could be another reason.

They know GP has destroyed their game sales right? Guess not, I would be getting customers to buy PS4/PS5/Switch games.

Anyways, the xbox is selling well. It might not be doing great on scalping sites, but even today I went to a Walmart and saw someone purchase an Xbox series S

Weird for him to say that considering PS5s are easier to find than a Series X now. People will just buy what's available.

Regardless, the store owner is apparently wrong. Microsoft is now saying they will making future CoD games on Playstation.

The question was never whether the store owner was wrong or not. It was already common knowledge MS said they will make future CoD games for PlayStation. What isn't known is for how long.

That doesn't take away from your comment (in bold above) is unsupported.

I am from belgium, this is legit. I don't understand why you some find this so odd, if you're a call of duty player you could be missing out on content.
