Hey, I got a PSP 2002 of eBay (Simpsons Edition) and 4 months after I bought it, the UMD drive stopped working! I had to push down the UMD Drive ALL THE TIME after that, but now it has stopped working completely! Any ideas on a fix? Fetts!

Yeah, but does that mean I have to buy my games again?

If you buy a Go, you will need to purchase your games again to download. If you get another 2000, or a 3000 or 1000, you obviously won't need to buy your games again. :P Sorry to hear the UMD drive stopped. I really haven't heard of that before.

There are replacements you could buy but I don't know if you want to risk repairing it yourself. Since you got it on Ebay I doubt Sony will let you warranty repair it. I suggest you just buy a new PSP 2000 or PSP 3000 at this point if you wanna play UMD games. Otherwise just go digital.

No, I am talking about the UMD Drive, but I could not remove the Homebrew part because I was quoting somebody. I can't edit that post, so could a moderator get rid of the homebrew part and get it to make sense?

Alright my bad. Sorry I cannot help you with your problem. Does the drive like...not even attempt to work? Or is it only a certain game that cannot be read?

I found this post on another website too but I wasnt a member there but since I am one here I can ask you, did you find a fix ? I read that the paper worked for you, can you post a pic of exactly what you did to get that to work ?
