New PS3 owner - first two games suggestion

Just ordered the 120gb slim which will be my first PS3. I am thinking about MW2 and LBP as my first two games as they seem to be games that I'll be playing for quite some time. However I'm thinking of switching out one of the two for Uncharted 2 because I can't stop hearing good things about it. What do you guys think?

Uncharted 2 for the spectacle, and then something with depth to keep you coming back. Dragon Age maybe?

Modern Warfare 2 and Uncharted 2 if you like shooters, LBP and Uncharted 2 if you're more inclined into adventure games.

Here are my favorite PS3 titles that I own...

1 - Assassin's Creed 2

2 - Killzone 2

3 - Dragon Age

4 - Resident Evil 5

5 - Infamous

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2!

If you want a game that'll last you, don't get Assassin's Creed 2. It's absolutely amazing, and you really should play it at some point, but you'll beat in within 25 hours, and there's absolutely nothing you can do with it after beating it other than play through it again.

Little Big Planet is a lot of fun and there's always something to do on it, but it can be very frustrating trying to clear a level sometimes.

Go with Uncharted 2 and Little Big Planet, then get Dragon Age: Origins, inFamous, and Valkyria Chronicles as soon as possible. Don't bother with Modern Warfare 2.

I got 2 automatic winners for you: Assassin's Creed 2 and Uncharted 2. You can't go wrong with these two. Haven't played Demon's Souls, but it's not for everyone. LittleBigPlanet is a great game, but it's also not for everyone.

I was gonna say LBP and MW2!

Uncharted 2 is also a must, so I would say LBP and MW2 OR U2.

Little Big Planet isn't for everyone. I don't care for it, but whatever floats your boat. I remember playing it with friends and either getting slapped off a platform or getting so frustrated I wanted to throw the controller at the screen. If you want a game that will last you, I'd say maybe Dragon Age.

Cmon 2 games thats it.

So many good games you should but you should narrow it down on what games you like. For an example do you like Rpg's, shooters, action, etc.

But sadly you could only pick 2.

The 2 games I would suggest are MLB The Show '09 and Uncharted 2. If you didn't own a PC/360/PS3 before you should buy older games. You will be able to get a ton more games and some of the older ones are amazing. Check out the ones below.

RPGs - Oblivion, Fallout 3

Shooters - MW2, Killzone 2, Rainbow 6 Vegas 2

Others - Civ Rev, Burnout Paradise, MGSIV, GTA4

buy any of the two games the previous posters have mentioned. there are too many great games for anyone to give you the best two to start off with. if money is an issue buy a used game that's been out for a while. an example would be metal gear solid 4 for $17.00

I would go fifa 10 and uncharted 2. There both amazing.

Uncharted 2 and Demon's Souls. Both games kept me coming back for more, MW2 i was bored with in a week with the overpowered killstreaks and akimbos, just too many cheap deaths. And the campaign in Uncharted and DS will last a while plus both have good replay value, U2 because it's just sheer epicness and DS because there is so much to do and it's an awesome challenge.

Little Big Planet is a lot of fun with lots of things to do but I tend to play it only a little bit at a time. If you like platformers or artsy games it is good and either way it's a good game to try at least once. But the best game I've played on PS3 so far is inFamous. I love the hell out of this game and I very strongly recommend it if you like any of the following things:
Free-roaming
Comics and Comic book Super Heroes
Silver Age Science
Action
Story
Well implimented moral choice systems
Memorable games

Other than that? I hear Uncharted is good. Avoid Ass's Creed 1 and maybe go right on to 2 if you're interested in the series. Demon's Souls is excellent if you like a fair but challening game. Killzone is a nice choice if you're into First Person Shooters. If it's just the shooting and not the first person, Uncharted is probably a better option all together. Just... Yeah. inFamous kicks a lot of ass.

the first games i picked up for my ps3 in october this year where UC2 and Killzone 2 then i got tired of shooting things and got LittleBigPlanet and i usually sell games after playing them for awhile (about a month) but these 3 i still own so i think you can't go wrong with any of them and as stated previously Assassins Creed II is a great game but it is quite short (platinumed in under 30h) and there is almost no replay value
