How come WoW doesn't run well on my Macbook anymore??

When I started playing around last year, I could've run WoW pretty well on my Macbook. Now, even if I turn down all of the settings, it lags, and is unplayable.

Is there something wrong with my system? or did they make some sort of update that kind of affected everyone?

maybe it is. because when I load up the game, the intro/log in screen runs 100%, even with that flying dragon etc.
