whats the worst thing in your life right now?

Whats the worst thing in your life right now? it could be something holding you back or anything thats an obstacle in your life.

Mine is an illness, its really messing with me. Whats yours?

The thing that's probably bugging me the most right now is the fact that my grandfather's 90 years old and he's waiting on the results for a biopsy since doctors found 2 tumors in his lungs last week. He's pulled through some pretty bad illnesses before but obviously a potential lung cancer diagnosis at 90 would have a pretty pessimistic prognosis.

I've also been sick for a couple months but my illness is treatable so I'm not too concerned with it

Oh, I see. Well I wouldn't worry too much. You (ie. a man) can father kids pretty much whenever, and your girlfriend still has a fair number of years left ahead of her to have a baby. The wife of one of my best friends didn't have her first baby until she was 40 and then they had another one a few years later when she was 43. And they're one of the healthiest and happiest families I know. megagene

Sperm clones itself, but a female is born with all the eggs she will ever have. The problem with cloning is that mutations accumulate, so the older the male when he conceives the higher the rate of birth defect.

And a womans chances of concieving drops by I think 5% a year after age 30.

Well, I was only with my ex-wife for 5 years, and we were working toward getting things in order to start a family when $hit hit the fan, and we divorced in 2002. I didn't date again until 2007, and I'm now in my first steady relationship since my marriage (2 years now). We've talked about maybe having kids down the road but she's working on her career right now. She's 34 so if it's going to happen it's going to be in the next handful of years or so, but no concrete plans right now.

Wouldn't worry though, you're still fertile and woman get easier as you age. I'm confident that if anyguy makes smart decisions, they'll be fine.
