I was confused about this as well. It takes substantially more time to go to gamespot, navigate to forums and start a topic than it does to just go to google and type "sally field." If she did pass away that was all you would need to type.

Sally field is not dead, her mom died awhile back at 89.

The one who died is Sally Fields mom and for some reason Google seem to think Field is her mom and dead.

But no she is very much alive

And her newest movie is Little Evil.

Probably due to Sally's middle name Margaret being the same first name as her mother.
