In my search for another survival horror to play after completing RE4 on the GC 3 times, I feel I have arrived at a game that I can say has scared the life out of me just as much, albeit in a different way. RE4 is more "OH MY GOD, THERE ARE MILLIONS OF POSSESSED VILLAGERS AFTER ME!!!", whereas this is more of a "what was that? did I just see something moving? " creepy, psychologically scary kind of game. The graphics are very good, easily as good as those seen on similar games like Silent Hill and the traditional Resident Evils (1-3). The sound is excellent, creating a foreboding, creepy atmosphere. The gameplay is a work of genius - the basic premise is that ghosts you encounter (only the violent ones - some are 'friendly') can be killed with a camera that you find early in the game. It's great because the closer the enemy gets to you the better you're shot will be - but the more risk you take and scared you are. I've only had the game for a short while and decided to write this review just to let you know my thoughts (real reason - it has scared the hell out of me, I've paused it and am too frightened to return to the game!!!)
