NFL 2k5 after almost 4 years still stands as one of the best football games to date

I have played every single 2k football game since the Dreamcast and there is doubt that NFL 2k5 is still the best out of the 2k football series. Many people bought this game because of the $20 price tag but just about everyone who's never played a 2k football game saw the high value they were getting out of this game. 2k5 is about as realistic as you can probably get to a real football game. I always thought that gameplay was superior to it's competition. The little details in the game are what seperate this game from everyone else. When you're running the ball in this game and you get stuck behind a lineman the running back actually puts out his hand on the back of the Offensive Lineman and keeps driving his feet to get a little more yardage. That might seem like something small but it was nice animation they put in the game or added from 2k3 actually. Speaking of running backs the jukes on this are fantastic, you can quickly juke left and back right, you can stop on a dime and spin right or left. The receiving animations and one handed catches look really good and pretty realistic. One of my favorite parts of the game is the gang tackling and 2k5 really nailed this down. I had a run where a defender went to tackle my lower body and then another defender comes and takes me down from the top. Another small animation that adds that realistic tone to the game. Presentation wise this game after 4 years later is still the best, seeing Berman say the Rrrrraidaaaas never gets old. This game was and still is the best football game to date, if you have a xbox 360 and haven't played 2k5 go buy it for $2, pop this baby in the drive and realize what you've been missing.
