User Rating: 9.3 | Enter the Matrix PS2
Enter the Matrix, PS2 version, is an excellent 3D action adventure game. Actually, it's more of an action game, than an adventure, since it doesn't much exploration. The game feels like as if you're on a rail, going through the path the designers offered you. But the combat system, combined with the "focus/slow-mo" visual and sound effects, make it really really adictive. I sometimes "recreated" some scenes from the 1st movie, running on walls, sommersaulting, disarming a SWAT officer and shooting him with his own shotgun, all in BEAUTIFUL slow motion... ahhhh, so gratifying! It's quite addictive. I played until I got to the end... just couldn't stop! Then, re-play the alternate point of view, with the other character, Resident Evil 2 style! A definite must have. Graphics vary from average to very good, with great lighting effects. Niobe's leather jacket really reflects the lights. But sometimes the textures seem like there's something missing. Also, you can notice the rough edges on some objects such as car wheels, and other supposedly "round" objects... they just AREN'T round! But that's just a detail. The overall graphics are very appealing, and do a great job of recreating the matrix. I strongly recommend this game to any fan of the movies and to everyone who enjoys a good 3D action game.
