This is top-shelf stuff. The wildly varying opinions about the movie sequel are understandable, but there should be no disparate views of "Enter the Matrix." What a fine, glossy package, complete with HDTV support, searing Dolby Digital and a well-implemented storyline ripped straight from the screenplay. Moreover, this is one of the first games on the XBox since "Halo" that seems perfectly suited to the console's bulky controller (although using the S-Controller is always preferable anyway). This makes the gameplay all the more stellar. Whether you're scaling the walls or unleashing some wicked punches on the enemy, the action is seamless and lifelike. Visually, "Enter the Matrix" is as sharp and awe-inspiring as the film, and the supporting soundtrack is equally well done. The depth of the game is impressive, and there's no question that all of these winning facets are going to make this title a contender for a lot of accolades by the time 2003 winds down.
