I have to admit that this was the first RPG game I ever touched. None of my family was into games very deep, so I really didn't have anyone to talk to about the "point" of this kind of game. I just had a real hard time picking it up and getting any fun out of it. I know I killed nothing but slimes the first few times I played for any length of time.

After playing the first Final Fantasy game (with the help of the Nintendo Power Strategy Guide, which I still have), I got this genre under control and had a lot of fun with the game. Though, I wasn't a big fan of the grind back then, and I still don't care for it. Dear, god, I do some grinding in RPG's though.
