I read a few review about how the graphics were sub-par and game play was atrocious and I have to say, I have no idea what they were on about.
First of all, the game looks fantastic. Scenery, textures, lighting, characters etc. are a dream to behold. Granted I am playing on pretty much maximum graphics settings at 1080p but it is what it is. Gameplay/Combat itself is a little different than DA1.... it takes some getting use to with the tactical camera but still satisfying. I would still prefer the addition of the traditional top down view for combat. Oh and the game is huge by normal rpg standards! Already 23 hours in and only perhaps 20% in.
My only gripe was the purchase of the deluxe edition, which doesn't give you anything much over the standard version of the game apart from a one additional mount and some crappy items.
In short, this is definitely a rpg worth buying and will no doubt keep you busy till next year.
