Doom was one of the major games which laid the foundation for all that we consider to be first person shooters today. Without Doom, I firmly believe that many of the greatest FPSs would not be out there. Doom offers some of the best difficulty settings, there's one for everyone, and the best part is that the harder it is, the more they swarm you, what happened to that in today's FPSs? It's hard to beat these three games because let's face it, what could be more fun that running through hell pointlessly killing things? The fast paced action of Doom is always a fun little diversion from the many other things that you should be doing and you can put it down anytime you like, because you'll have a level select menu to help you pick up where you left off. The best thing about Doom is that for a small price, you can pick up this Collectors Edition for a small price and have some of the FPSs which opened the door for what video games are today.
