My 134th review after Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards.
The story is about K. Rool has kidnapped the friends of Donkey Kong and stolen all the Gold Bananas. This is a wonderful game. You can play as the 5 Kongs and they have cool special moves. There are also so many collectible items to find, which can get tedious. This game is definitely gonna get an A++! Here the results:
Gameplay 10/10: Totally fantastic and tons of fun! You can also use the number pads to warp to places, which rocks! Although finding so many collectible items which leads to non-stop backtracking can get pretty dull and annoying.
Graphics 10/10: The graphics are delightful!
Controls 9/10: The same controls like Super Mario 64 and Banjo-Kazooie. However, the camera can be a problem.
Sound/Music 9/10: The music is pretty cool. Even though that DK Rap may kinda give me a headache, I don't know what to say about it.
Lasting Appeal 10/10: Anyone who owns Super Mario 64 and Banjo-Kazooie should definitely get this wonderful game.
Overall, Donkey Kong 64 is like Banjo-Kazooie with monkeys.
The Good:
-Everything like Super Mario 64 and Banjo-Kazooie
-Tons of collectible items
-Cool special moves
The Bad:
-The importance of collecting so many items and backtracking
-Camera controlling can be a pain
-Some of the missions can get very frustrating to beat
All the gameplay, controls, jumps, special moves, music, worlds, everything is like Banjo-Kazooie, but with monkeys. I wish they can make more memorable 3D platforming classics like this. We could even have a different developer working on a 3D platforming Donkey Kong title. That's the end of my review. Good night everyone!
Donkey Kong 64 gets a 10 out of 10!
