Chrono Cross is, by far, one of the best games ever made.

Chrono Cross is supposed to be the "sequel" to the legendary game Chrono Trigger, but let me say that this game has little connection to Chrono Triggers story. Yes, the characters from Chrono Trigger do play a >VERY< small part in this story, but the gameplay and everything else is completely different and takes place in a brand new world, which isn't a bad thing whatsoever.

Let me start off by saying that I believe that Chrono Cross is one of the best games EVER and I'm not changing my mind about it anytime soon. Chrono Cross is a game about a young boy named Serge who lives in a small village on a island. He has a girlfriend and pretty good life until one day at the beach his whole world changes. Serge is transported to a alternate dimension where he has died about 10 years ago and nobody knows him. In this dimension Serge meets a young girl named "Kid". From this point on all the decisions you make affect the game in many ways, such as the characters that join your party and the storyline.

The battle system in the game is sort of like a Final Fantasy game, but you have 3 attacks, one light, one medium, and one heavy. The magic in this game consists of "elements" that you have to assign to your "Element Grid", each element can be assigned to certain levels and is more powerful the higher level it is assigned to. The elements that you assign can only be used once per battle, which makes it more important to keep some things held back until you need them.

Overall this game is completely amazing and I recommend this to anyone who wants a game that is just pure fun and unforgettable.
