Konami has squeezed every last drop out of what a side scroller can offer in this just plain fun side-scroller.

I first experienced castlevania when I was a young lad playing the Sega Genesis in my dads room, and it was always a game I played when I saw it on Sega Channel (a game network that you paid a monthly fee for and in exchange received dozens of playable games which were updated monthly, for those of you who didn't have the luxury.) Anyway, the next castlevania game I was to experience was Circle of the Moon, and to be honest, at first I thought it sucked, until I discovered the essentials I at first believed it did not contain. After enjoying this game for a time, Aria of Sorrow came out and I waited until it came to stores to see if it lived up to Circle of the Moon. It did so, and it was and is far better than COTM.
Gameplay: The many different wepons and magical attacks you can perform will keep you hooked, and I didn't see any major glitches in the games performance. Perfect.
Controls: Controls have never been a problem for me on any GBA game. But to say the least, they were good.
Graphics: Well done side scroller graphics. Nothing more can be said, some of what I saw surprised me, got me thinking "wow, they can get that detailed on a GBA game?
Bottom Line: Incredible. One of the best experiences I have ever had playing a side scroller. If you have a GBA or DS, I highly reccomend it.
