This is a really great fighter for the lil' cube! The character design is excellent and riffs off the whole manga intro really well. The music is the typically cheesy but cool sort of thing you would expect of this kind of game. Some people will love it, others won't! As for the gameplay itself it's excellent. Responsive, fluid and easy to grasp, if a little ill suited to the Gamecube's controller. It doesn't take long to figure out the three or four best combos for any given character, which means that the games single player can be completed pretty easily, but thankfully it's way more than enough fun to keep you coming back for more. The de-facto VS mode also holds up pretty nicely for some timeless 2 player action, but doesn't offer anything over any other 128 bit 3D fighter in the way of options.
One of my favourite Hudson games to date!!
