As a long time Levine and Spector fan, and avid FPS player I had very high hopes for this game. I was not disappointed. This game is all atmosphere, It has such a style and light about it. From the very beginning when you descend into Rapture you feel that you are in for a truly amazing experience. Graphics: 9.5. There are some graphical hitches n glitches with character models, but nothing so out there that it destroys the experience. The art deco style works fantastic with this game, you really feel that you are in this once great utopia.


Sound/Music: 10. Fantastic, the effects, the dialog (though somewhat overused) Big Daddy's moan is right up there with the Gunship wail from HL2, and Pyramid Heads sword Scraping. When you hear it, you know trouble is coming. The music, both original and licensed lent a perfect sense of time, era and reality to the title.


Game Play: This game is a shooter in its heart, and a Survival Horror in its mind. If you have played Half Life, Halo or plain old Quake you will feel right at home. What is so spectacular about the game play, is that the player can choose how to proceed. Do you hack a camera? Do you just rush in guns blazing? How about a trap bolt? This makes the game highly re playable. Overall: This game is simply beautiful. The story is top notch, the game play is choose your own adventure. This is what games are about. Art. My only problem, is that the good ending was a little... lacking. And from what I hear, System Shock fans like me, either Love it, or like it. I loved it. So, "Would You Kindly" Go play BioShock if you haven't already?
