Basically Brotherhood is continuation of Ezio's adventure in Italy leading the public against the oppression of the hierarchy. Except that this time he is a recognized assassin, leading his own brotherhood of junior assassins, side by side with La Volpe and Machiavelli from the previous game.
The story is very linear and quite predictable, but is extremely well told and the fantastic voice acting with better lip movements make the 14.5 hours of main missions a delight to play. In supporting cast is the improved graphics and better details of the city of Rome.
Roaming around the city feels more complete now with you having the power to do a lot more than just buy items from shops but the shop itself and invest in it over the net. The brotherhood require training which you'll have to provide by sending the assassins to contract missions. But on their availability they will come extremely in handy in the main missions, and this integration makes the assassinations a lot more diverse and complicated which reward you with the perfect assassination if done correctly.
These little additions to the game justify why this is a mere expansion of the main title and not a separate sequel, but together make this game very playable. And with Revelations already out you know that the series is going in the right direction, with Desmond's destiny becoming more and more prominent with each new addition.
