Xevious, Rush 'n Attack storm XBLA

I will buy both someday.

One thing Microsoft deserves credit for is the accuracy of their XBOX Live! Arcade releases. They're true reproductions of the stand-up arcade boxes. Xevious was one of my favorite games when it was out, and I've played a number of re-creations of it that were pretty accurate, so I don't know what "100 percent arcade-accurate reproduction" means. Then again, I didn't know the game ever had hidden items either, so I'm not the expert on the matter. Rush 'n Attack is an oldie but a goodie. Xevious can also been found in the Namco Museum or on GameTap.

Where the hell is Crimefighters? Or The Simpsons beat-um up that came out in the late 80's early 90's?

As a PS3 owner, I haven't been jealous of any 360 releases until today ... Rush N' Attack is great classic! Who wouldn't want it on their console for $5?

I would really like to see Twin Cobra on XBL Arcade playable coop on line.

Rush N' Attack is not really like Contra too much. You have to keep in mind that it came out at least a year or 2 before Contra and probably helped lay the ground work. Great game

Both games are awesome. I remember playing Xevious at a 7-11 until 3 AM trying to flip it. Rush n' Attack is a great game and brinks back the whole "fear the Russkies" vibe of the early 80's.

I never played Rush 'n Attack. Wasn't the game just a lot like Contra? It's one of those games I've heard good things about so I might get it. Can anyone tell me if it is better than Contra, though?

I don't mind the old school games, however, if they are going to be bringing old school games they should at least add some Japan only releases from way back in the day.

I was an Apple2 fanatic but finally got a C64 for Rush 'n Attack. Then a Famicom disk drive for that and Castlevania. A couple months ago I gave my 360 to my bro but I may get the Elite for this game. ;)

MS should release more newly create games with better graphics (like Aegis Wing).

Sounds like a good offering - though I'd rather some better shmups than the originals.

I'm definitely getting Rush 'N Attack. Yes, the NES version might be a little longer with 6 levels but $5 for the arcade version is still a decent price. Won't be getting Xevious, though. It's a pretty blah shooter. Maybe I might get it if offers an easy 200. I've got 2850 MP points. What's with the Double Dragon hate? I really liked it. Of course, I'm biased.

I'd sure be happy if some games that weren't from the 80s came out instead.

Come out with Halo 3 and I'll buy the 360! I'm playing my roommate's account and the beta is sweet. These downloads aren't bad as well. Does anyone know if Catan can be played on-line with random people?

I have the original on NES (did it ever come out on SNES?), Amstrad tape and on a GBA compilation, but it's Green Beret (rush n attack)! 400 is a small price to pay for the frustration i had on that game back in the days of the Amstrad 464.

Man, the games just keep coming out. I'm in love with suprise Wednesdays! I loved Xevious' back in the day, but like the Dukes of hazard, it's probably better left to memory lol. Oh well, free trial here I come:D

Rush 'n Attack was a good game. I will not be getting it however as I have the original copy for the SNES already, then there is the fact that I do not even own a 360..

Sure, it's nice to have two XBLA releases every week, but when both generally suck, it makes one envy the days when we occasionally got an arcade, but it was usually a good one.

A lot of props needs to go out to Microsoft's XBLA managment. We have not only had non stop XBLA Wednesdays for a few months, but for the last few weeks we have gotten not one but 2 games each week. Cheers to MS for fixing XBLA Wednesdays.

We need Street Fighter II: The World Warrior! Not of this "super" or "remix" stuff. Just a MAME-like pixel perfect recreation for the game which brought one-on-one fighting to the masses.

uh , i'd like to have street fighter , bad dudes "the arcade game" , vigelante, merc , the ORIGINAL aliens "arcade" , Original final fight , there also was a 4 player side scroller where you would play punk rocker looking people w/mowhawks " u would pick up chains , and so on " very good game ... just cant remember the name. newayz add these to the xbox live arcade b4 someone else does!!!

Always good to have more games-but the prices on some are still too high. Microsoft should consider having a sale on downloadable games and content-I think it'd be a big hit.
