Xbox Series X Restock: Consoles Available At Xbox Store, Xbox Series S Discount At Amazon

@faithxvoid: Xboxes don't have "Gens" anymore -- they're PCs running a modified Windows 10, and game as such.

You can play the same game library on every system from the 2014 Xbox One up through the Series X. ...but at vastly different resolutions and frame rates. 720p vs 1080p vs 4k, etc. We have 4 in the house, and the games follow the user accounts system-to-system. So do the controllers, and the discs (except for Series S).

For some games I'm finding that streaming the cloud version plays better than installing the local version on the 2014 XO. ESO and F76 are good examples.

@faithxvoid: My Switch is the last Nintendo system I will ever buy; Ridiculous prices for inferior versions of third party games, and a mostly uninteresting (to me) first party selection are the main reasons.

@mega_lucarioftw: The proper punishment for scalpers would be to be forced to only play Virtual Boy for 1 year. If their crime continues they will also be forced to play Atari Jaguar CD.

@cheeseweasel24: the series s is a beast of a small console, it runs the games at 1440p and 120fps. People who don't need a series x will buy the series S

@innerlux69: It will definitely be worth owning consoles in time. Right now there's not many killer apps, but 5 years from now surely there will be some killer app for both platforms. The PS4 and PS3 were both unimpressive for at least a year until the killer apps hit the streets! Xbox One was also quite unremarkable when it launched.

@innerlux69: it's not really. I have both. Hardly ever play my Playstation.

@innerlux69: GamePass is reason enough to own an XBOX. Does it need to be a SeriesX specifically? If you have a TV that supports all the bells and whistles, then yes. If you still want physical games, then yes.

If none of those two things are important to you, a cheaper SeriesS may be the better option.

@innerlux69: at this point there will be enough worth while games on Xbox that can't be enjoyed on ps5. Even though I prefer playstation, I say keep it. I have an expensive PC so any future Xbox game, I'll play it there otherwise I would probably be hunting for an Xbox also to have next to my PS5. 2 games you can be really enjoying now are horizon 5 and halo infinite

@innerlux69: Well it largely depends on you and your tastes. If you enjoy, play, and purchase many of the exclusives that come out on both consoles ... then of course yes. If you : cannot afford, rarely ever purchase exclusives, or your friends only play on one console, you may find it better to resale your console- that would then allow purchases of games later on.

8th gen saw by far more exclusives on the PS4 then on the xb1, not to mention a clear set of genres that were seen on one console more then another. So far this gen- 9th- the ps5 has more exclusives but .... MS is gearing up for some pretty good ones of their own.

These are questions that any gamer asks themselves .... will my entertainment per $ be worth it. Buying something that is not useful is not only wasteful it is foolish. But if you do use them, and get the amount time out of them you need, then that is awesome. This is true with all consumer goods.

@Newsboy: That is cool but remind them when the time comes when you are in retirement and you have to go into a nursing home. (Now I am joking) because the same goes for most for our life are in our children hands and that is the perfect time to get revenge for all the punishment we gave them. :)
