Witcher 3 dev says PS4, Xbox One and PC allow it to “go nuts” with visuals

i haven't really played any of the witcher games but i honestly cannot wait for this.

I don't really mind the delay since my current computer can barely play Witcher 2 at minimum settings and I won't be able to afford any upgrades so soon

basically what they're saying is the technology behind the next gen consoles allows them to get away with making the pc version a lazy port. I love rpgs but the witcher 2 just didn't do it for me so i'll skip this.

I honestly can not wait .

@eva02langley omg i just bought a bugatti veyron for 2 mil bro..... and its way faster then your POS.... this is what you sound like..... leme give you a budget of 400 no make it 500 (xbox one lol) and u build me a pc thatll be better graphics then PS4 running witcher 3....

I'll bet that it's capped at 30fps on consoles.

Man, my PC only runs Witcher 2 marginally decently so I think I'll have to get 3 for PS4 until I can upgrade my rig.

I see they included the XB1 in that list. God forbid the XB1 might actually look as good as the PS4.

CD Projekt Red: is my favorite developer, see, they do this thing where they make games for gamers, rather then shareholders. Imagine that.

At least they're sincere about the fact that the Witcher series is now all about graphics.

how about going nuts with controls instead, after they said they based W2 controls on Demon's Souls I got it and was disappointed by how clunky it felt in comparison.

When it comes to graphics, my trust on the game developers is bit shaken after the huge graphics downgrade fiasco by the FROM SOFTWARE with Dark Souls 2 game. Pathetic really!!!

Maybe they should stop praising those consoles and focus on completing the game itself, this will help them finish it faster.

Witcher 2 was a huge disappointment. Linear game world...with non-linear story? really? It was good for the first few hours but the last half of the game dragged on and the story was just rubbish.

These games where i get to choose (this is just an illusion for stupid people to think they are in control) the plotline are horrible. Have you ever read a good book or watched a spectacular movie where you got to choose where the story went? thats because story writing is a craft better left to those who know what they are doing.

The Withcer 2 had the most anti-climactic ending (no matter which one you "chose") of any RPG I've ever played, and it has tainted my interest in this franchise. It's not like there was much else to keep me interested. The gameplay was lackluster with its clunky combat, linear game world, and lack of overall content or diversity.

I hope this mediocre franchise can turn this around, this is a great IP that could be something special if handled more appropriately - mainly by having the balls to write their own, complete story, and introducing that into an open world with more proven RPG features. You don't always have to reinvent the wheel to make a car go faster, look nicer, and ride smoother.

Not this generation they didn't! I know VR dates back to the 90's. I'm referring to Sony releasing images of their vr machine then Microsoft more or less coming out saying "don't forget us, were doing VR too" when the facts are they probably were not and don't even have a prototype until Sony showed there's.

And don't call me kid, I'm probably older, wiser and much more experienced in life than you are.

I'm just glad to see that a small developer like CD Projekt Red can find success, even competing with big boys like Bethesda. I surely thought they were doomed from the outset when they misspelled their company name and nobody even bothered to spell-check it.
