Whoops, Nissan Mistakes PS4 Racer Driveclub's Graphics for Real Life

I don't know why I ever bother coming back to Gamespot from time to time, the comment sections are even more toxic then before.

that means that the team behind driveclub has done something right. kudos to them.

I like the game because it looks great and is "not" a sim. Now if it just had powerups like blur id be set for the year:(

There's a Hashtag for Driveclub... Driveclub is a gorgeous game, but even I can distinguish between Reality and game Screenshots.

is nissan's PR an A.I because hes clearly never seen real life.

The title should really be "Whoops, Nissan's PR intern mistakes Driveclub for real life."

They look real when they're tiny. Plus, racing games to tend to have some of the best graphics. So if the resolution of the images was pretty poor, I don't think the Nissan guy was being stupid/blind at all.

What kind of moron thinks those are real graphics? Was the person using an iPhone 4 or something hand saw it at the size of a postage stamp?

Please tell me, how stupid do you think we are. I mean is this marketing trick, obvious only to me , or is it only to Sony boosting their sales, by making a Nissan representative mistake their game for real life. Or is both brands being involved just a coincidence....

I made the same mistake with GT3 back in the day. But hey, a game ain't worth anything if it is a mediocre game.

pc gamers, they are really angry if someone praise a console game's graphic. gamespot should be careful not to poke them with this article, they are really really sensitive about graphic.

But he did make the photos....with photo mode! ;)

Too bad graphics is the only thing going for this game. It still burns that I purchased this on launch lol. Once you play Forza, you'll never go back.

So because a dumb arse can't tell the difference between a console's graphics and a photograph probably looking at it on a phone quickly anyway, this was worth an article?

If they mistook this for real life , they would be floored by Project cars on PC.

Graphics in Driveclub are absolutely nothing to write home about. It's not a super ugly game, that's it.

Eddie you should go write for a sports team.... YOUR favorite sports team because for a gaming journalist you are one of the biggest fanboys I have ever known.... In such a diverse industry with multiple main stream consoles, handhelds and pc's and all you ever do it glorify PS.... I like PS too but you r a journalist, your supposed to be unbiased.....

Driveclub graphics ARE good, but the game SUCKS...... its like Ridge Racer. Horrible handling and it just feels waaay too arcady. I'd take the SLIGHTLY less graphical, and I mean slightly but much more in depth Forza 5 any day over this. I finally downloaded the free version and its just a horrible racer... Graphics do NOTHING for the fun factor of this game...

Waiting for GT7 the graphics & gameplay will be awesome.

Not to be the millionth person to rib Eddie for his stories, but Gamespot and all gaming website alike should cordon off part of their sites for actual news and maybe a sidebar that lists these notable blurbs. This "article" isn't exactly news, but it certainly entertaining information that I would have otherwise missed.
