Visions Of Mana Preorders Include Exclusive Steelbook Case At GameStop

The next entry in Square Enix's beloved Mana series launches August 29 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Fan have eagerly looked forward to Square-Enix announcing the Visions of Mana release date ever since the game was revealed at the 2023 Game Awards. Well, that day has finally come--the publisher confirmed the brand-new entry in its classic action-RPG serious will launch for PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC on August 29. The announcement came via a new gameplay trailer that showed off more footage of the game's flashy combat and gorgeous landscapes.

In Visions of Mana, players will take the role of Val, a "soul guard" who joins his childhood friend on a quest to rejuvenate the magical Tree of Mana. According to Square-Enix's official description, the game will feature "enchanting locations with near-seamless transitions in a semi-open field that's yours to discover," and "fast-paced, multi-dimensional" action combat.

Along with the new trailer, Square-Enix also revealed information on the Visions of Mana Collector's edition, which is now available for preoder alongside the standard edition on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Both versions also include an exclusive costume a helpful in-game items if you grab a copy before launch. If you preorder online at GameStop for in-store pickup, you'll get the exclusive (and very elegant) steelbook case that's shown above.

@lon3wolf2002: SE would charge anywhere from $40 to $50 on their site for that plush. Art book can easily go for $20+ and a CD soundtrack can go for as cheap as $10 but that's just one disc, so multiply here by six. Add the extra $20 for fancy box.
This is probably one of the less egregious SE CE's I've seen.
