Where I attend college, Seattle Central, there're plenty Chinese exchange students. Some of them have Steam or GOG accounts and are decent in English. But they'd probably get pretty psyched to play Torchlight II in their native language.

Fantastic! Next, they should make Torchlight II available in XBL.

@meralonne My brother would gobble that up. He loves Torchlight on XBLA. He likes it on PC via GOG too. But he refuses to use Steam out of a dislike of DRM. Thus, he hasn't played (the extremely awesome) sequel yet.

I guess those pets would have been exclusive to the Chinese version were it not for last week's update, which opened them up to the rest of us as well. Also, we got a Headcrab. So there's that.

Uhm...the news sound like those pets are exclusive to the chinese version. As a Torchlight II player I can confirm, they're not. Here in the EU we have access to them as well.

And heh, funny, just a few days ago a chinese language mod in the Steam Workshop appeared. I wonder if they took this as base for that, or, if they did it on their own at Runic and the creator of that mod now has worked several hours in vain.

A Chinese language version? Why, I thought everyone knew English and if they don't they should learn it - right now. There is no excuse.

@Justforvisit I was actually being very sarcastic. I thought I made myself look so stupid that people would see that, though at the same time, I wanted to see if anyone thought anyone could be that stupid and how fast it would take for someone to comment like you did.

I'm Swedish and even though I think that English is very valuable for me to know, I don't expect/demand that other people all around the world should know that. Neither do I think chinese people without English language skills are at a disadvantage because of that. I'm glad when a game has German language options, because I read German in school and I like to practice it from time to time.

@BlackLense Perhaps sarcastic isn't the right word, but I meant that I wasn't serious. Sadly, I could have been even more arrogant/douchy and some people would still have thought I was serious instead of mocking the absurd opinion that everyone should know English.
