The Pathless PS5 Buying Guide: Where To Purchase
The Pathless is out now on PS5, PS4, PC, and Apple Arcade, and PS5 physical editions arrive in December.
The Pathless, Giant Squid's follow-up to its critically acclaimed underwater adventure Abzu, released today alongside the PS5. It also landed on PS4, PC, and Apple devices via Apple Arcade. Published by Annapurna Interactive, The Pathless is only available digitally on release day; however, physical editions for PS5 will release December 8, including an exclusive one from iam8bit.
Preorder The Pathless

Physical copies of The Pathless are up for preorder at Amazon and Best Buy for $50. The physical edition comes with an exclusive set of six collectible art cards.
The Pathless' digital edition is available to purchase now at the PlayStation Store and Epic Games Store. If you purchase a digital copy on PS5 or PS4, you'll gain access to the game on both consoles. On iOS devices, The Pathless is included with Apple Arcade subscriptions ($5/month).
Preorder The Pathless iam8bit edition

PlayStation 5 users can preorder an exclusive physical edition from iam8bit. It comes with a foldout poster, reversible cover, and six collectible art cards. You'll have to wait a bit longer to play it, though, as the physical edition doesn't release until December 8. There will also be a separate PS5 Day One edition available at other retailers on the same day, but it only comes with the the six art cards.

With music from renowned composer Austin Wintory (Journey, Assassin's Creed Syndicate, Abzu), The Pathless' soundtrack will likely complement the relaxing gameplay quite well. You can preorder a gorgeous 2xLP vinyl soundtrack from iam8bit for $40. Orders will ship early next year.
In The Pathless, you play as a nameless hunter who explores a sprawling forest. Though the hunter moves quickly and is great with a bow, The Pathless is more concerned with exploration than combat. The world is large, and you'll be accompanied by an eagle to solve puzzles and travel to higher ground. Much like Abzu, The Pathless revolves around nature and exploration.
