Activision signs agreement to distrbiute LucasArts titles in over 45 countries.

LucasArts Entertainment and Activision jointly announced Thursday a two-year agreement in which Activision will distribute all upcoming LucasArts PC and PlayStation titles in the United Kingdom and 45 other nations, in areas such as Scandinavia, Central Europe, and the Middle East.

"LucasArts chose to establish a relationship with Activision due to its solid presence in the United Kingdom and distribution expertise in related export territories," says Jack Sorensen, president of LucasArts. "With the two companies sharing compatible goals, we look forward to a strong and successful partnership in the months ahead."

"LucasArts has a proven track record of developing world-class 'AAA' titles with strong global consumer appeal," says Robert Kotick, chairman and CEO of Activision. "We are extremely pleased to be associated with such a premier company and believe that this partnership is further testament to Activision's well-established worldwide distribution capabilities."
