Let's get this out of the way upfront: 2017 may be one of the best years for video game releases, ever. Fans of every genre had something to play throughout the months, and plenty of games drew in players who might not otherwise have tried them. It was an embarrassment of riches, and Mike and Jake had a blast covering them over the course of 2017.

So today, on the final episode of Reboot's second season, the duo wanted to share the games they didn't think were talked about enough. Whether because of another major title eclipsing the ones above, or contentious mechanics that rubbed some people the wrong way, we wanted to glorify the ones we personally loved.

Divinity Orignal Sin 2 is my personal GOTY, i've thought about it a lot and it was between this and Persona 5. But i've made my decision, its my 3rd most played game this year after Rainbow Six Siege and PUBG. But those games are only fun with friends, this game is fun either way.

Prey underrated? If anything I think it's overrated... It started out okay then got boring, fast. Oh, and I couldn't tolerate the hard-coded middle mouse button so I just stopped playing.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 - this isn't just one of the great games of 2017 - it is widely regarded by RPG players as one of the greatest RPGs ever made. Yes, it got great reviews but it was not talked about enough. In a year with Zelda, Mario, and Cuphead - Divinity is not even brought up as a game of the year contender most of the time.

It deserves more attention and a GOTY nomination.

@BassMan: Was hoping for an X patch so there would at least be one damn decent console version but it's not looking likely lol. Pro would be fine if they removed the horrible input lag without destroying the framerate. So odd as the graphics look more like 2010 and it runs great on PC.

@deviltaz35: I played it on PC and it runs good for the most part, but there are some optimization issues in certain areas and scenarios. Game has great atmosphere. I just wish there was a little more variety to the environments.

@Salt_AU: I agree with you. It's embarrassing for Gamespot to gave a game a poor review score and then turn around and say it was one of the most underrated games of 2017. If it was underrated, why did you give it such a poor score??
