Terminator 2D: No Fate, a new side-scrolling arcade game based on the beloved action film Terminator 2 and developed by Bitmap Bureau, the creators of the 2019 indie hit Xeno Crisis, launches on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store on September 5. Players interested in picking up a physical copy of the game can preorder the limited $60 Day One Edition or the $120 Collector's Edition now on all three console platforms at Amazon.

Terminator 2D: No Fate Preorder Bonuses

While there are no preorder bonuses announced for Terminator 2D: No Fate, all physical versions of the game available at launch are limited-edition releases that include collectibles and other extras, so it's worth preordering the game to secure one of these special editions.

It's also available directly from the game's developer, Bitmap Bureau, in a special Online Exclusive Edition. Despite the different name, it's identical to the collector's edition. Preorders for the Online Edition are available for £75, which is about $100 (not including shipping and tax). Bitmap Bureau ships to the US, but their online store states that the final price will be higher.

Terminator 2D: No Fate will feature a mix of classic 2D brawling and run-and-gun shooting arcade gameplay, and lets you play as iconic characters from Terminator 2, including Sarah Connor, the T-800, and the T-1000. The game will offer multiple gameplay modes, including story mode, arcade mode, boss rush, and more, and the numerous stages are based on memorable scenes from the movie--though there will also be all-new scenarios and even branching story paths and multiple endings that play out differently from the original plot.

@girlusocrazy: It comes with collectibles. That's probably the reason for the price.

This game is definitely on my wishlist, but I would prefer it without the collectibles.

@gamerboy100: I think it's the $120 version that has collectibles

I mean the $60 version has some plastic token and a cloth poster but I don't know how much that stuff adds to the price

@girlusocrazy: The writer of the article put a list of what's in it under the picture. Looks like enough to justify the price to me. (If I wanted to get collectibles, anyway.)
