Tecmo wins judgment

Tokyo district court upholds Tecmo's claims against software maker.

A Tokyo district court has upheld Tecmo's claims against a software maker that was providing tools enabling users to manipulate the physical appearance of characters from Tecmo's Dead or Alive 2. Tecmo maintains that the software distorted the original intention of the creators of the game and basically infringed on copyrights.
