Star Wars: The Force Unleashed again in '10

I love the concept behind TFU (particularly the idea of having more to a Jedi than just the lightsaber), but this violation of canon is not cool. Marek is dead (unless you take the Dark Side route). We can't have him as Palpatine's assassin for the obvious reason that Vader should not be dead. We should really just get a new main character.

I loved the first gamke and am glad they are doing a sequel with Galen alive, TFU 2 is coming, good times ahead.

People had problems with the controls? I can't say I've found them troubling. They're not perfect but they work just fine. Anyway I can't wait for this. I was hoping for at least a spiritual sequel to TFU but now we get an actual one!

Although there's camera & gameplay issues... try hiring some voice-talent! Vader & Yoda's voice should not be done by horrible sound-a-likes. The trailer sounds like horrible wannabe's who were found from some random you-tube search. You'd think that Lucasarts pockets would be deep enough to hire Frank Oz & James Earl Jones to do the voices of Yoda & Darth Vader to do the in-game voices.

hmmm...that doesnt really look like the old Marek to me...he looks more angry and has a more pointed face...anyway...the ending of the game doesnt exactle show him 100% dead...he's just lying on the floor...so maybe he didnt die...just in a coma...lol

Please fix the camera and controls. How come nobody made a Jedi Knights 4?

Think that there are two other ways for him to be alive. 1: His mind was transferred into a clone body. They did this with the Emporer to bring him back in the Dark Empire comics. 2: The Emporer used what he learned from Darth Plageus to bring him back (this was alluded to in Revenge of the Sith) I do also hope that they fix the targeting and have some multiplayer.

I was really disappointed with the first game, they created so much hype with the videos showing off the graphics engine and in the end the controls were extremely frustrating. I still don't understand why they didn't copy the gameplay style from jedi outcast or jedi academy, those games were amazing.

I think everyone thought he was dead because Vader stated it at the end. I have 2 theories: 1-Starkiller wasn't actually killed by the blast just knocked unconscious. 2-Vader revives him again. But I guess we'll have to wait and see if they explain it.

They reveal his name when he goes to Kashyyk and finds his father's hut and get a blue lightsaber crystal. I think it might be hidden.

I liked the first game, it could have been better but I liked it. But what I want to know is how it will tie in to the story. Starkiller is supposed to be dead, why is he in the sequel?

@ demonkillerx, This is my theory: Marek is so powerful, that when he was "dead" the force in his body went out of him, and formed him again, after a couple days. Just my theory. :?

Ehhh being a sith and working for the Empire is so much better than doing the typical Rebel jargon. Sure stormtroopers are easy enemies to design but have some new enemies for once.

didnt it show that Marek died from an explosion at the end of the first game? how could they bring back a dead character?

Oh word...now that's what I'm talking about. I love the first SW: TFU game. I can't wait for this one. Starkiller is my dude and I just hope they address the glitches from the last game. This is exciting.

While I loved the first game, I hope some issues like the targeting are fixed. I also hope that the storyline reason for him still being alive isn't ridiculous.

Played TFU and loved it! Will probably get Ultimate Sith Ed. for Christmas which is good cause I never bought any of the DLC. Now there's going to be a sequel!!! This news and the new Batman: AA sequel made the VGA's worth watching.

Well now maybe if they correct some of the annoying aspects of the first game this will be very good. first no "bring down the star destroyer", second increase the speed burst and duration if not make it unlimited, next faster force power regeneration and lastly less enemies that negate force powers/lightsaber, instead massively increase the number of enemies so it's like a jedi vs a thousand storm troopers in every room. kind of like a dynasty warriors/99nights with out long range attacks

I'd be good it if had multiple endings... or even multiplayer.

ive got the first one so all they need to do is change the targeting system and tweak the AI and they'll get my dough.

I hope they fix the targeting, I hope the story is better, I hope the planets are cooler, I hope the powers are more varied, and most of all I hope that I can relate more to the character in this one because he was so dull in the first game.

Could be pretty cool...Hopefully they fix the bugs from the first one. This game could easily be very well done as long as they make it longer and fix some bugs. And when did he get a name?? Did they just announce it in the new trailer? Cause I don't remember it at all in TFU.

The first one was pretty good, so I hope they improve upon the formula and make a better sequel.

Cool.... Except... why starkiller again? Im sure theyll explain it but why not someone else, or a force unleashed based on the star wars movies would be good.. I also hope Starkiller gets pwnd this time, its ridiculous how they overpowered him and underpowered everyone else. Seriosly, Vader would pwn him, i dont know what lucas was thinking... @princeweasel1 Palpatine was plaing with starkiller, he wasnt actually fighting seriously, just trying to turn him to the dark side. You can see this like when Palpatine actually destroys Starkiller in a few seconds in the non-canon ending after seeing how Starkiller would not turn to the darkside.

However, the ending they've chosen as canon (aka the "real" ending) is the light side ending wherein Marek fights the Emperor, bests him, but then spares his life. The Emperor then turns on Marek, they clash with force powers, there's an explosion and Vader says Marek is dead. In that ending Juno is seen alive with Kota at the end of the game. This sequel says that Marek ultimately did NOT die in the Emperor's chambers. They'll explain that later, I'm sure.

@ calebtheshark good theory their but it was implied that juno died with starkiller that the ship that the sidious threw into him was his that juno was flying and the apprientice obviously didnt die he must of been collected and rebuilt again or barely holding on and found if u remember vader killed him then rebuilt him

How in the world could he still be torn between both sides of the force? If I recall correctly wasn't he nearly kill by Darth Vador an the other one? They better make some sense out of all this in the next game. I also want a better battle system because the first game was really bad in that department.

woo hoo another game thats single player only with a campain that only lasts 6 hours dont get me wrong i enjoyed the game but come on i beat the game on normal in less then 6 hours and everything but like 2 things maxed in 11 the jedi temple dlc on every difficulty in less then 2 and the tatoonie dlc in about 15 minutes a single player only game or one where the online play is only co op should be atleast 60 hours and games with multiplayer atleast 30 ive seen game after ame have a 60 price tag when it only takes a few hours to beat is it to much to ask to make a game that lasts longer then 10 hours at best????

What excuse will LucasArts use this time to not have a pc version? Will they then release it later when sales have been exhausted on the consoles and then they give it to some hack cheap company aka Aspyr to make a really bad port?

The story is certainly one of the best features of SW:TFU. The game had bugs, but I was able to get past that because the game was too much fun to care. Every now and then I pick it up and continue. I'm now on my 3rd play-through. The sequel is a must-have for me in 2010. _

Marek looks exactly like that dude who played Doomsday on Smallville. I wonder if they pay that guy royalties for using his noggin in the game.

I'm glad they are making a sequel to force unleashed. Let's all hope they do a better job of play testing this game than what they did with the first. The first game had way too many bugs for a game that was so hyped. Also I hope they make it a lot longer than the first game. The two biggest problems with the first was bugs and length. Another thing i hope is in the game is more dark Jedi. If my canon is right there was a good deal of dark jedi around doing the Emperor Pal. reign. Also there was some grey jedi knight order that severed the empire after the fall of the jedi or somthing like that. So there should be lots of jedi to fight. And please multiplayer please.
