Infamous: First Light, the standalone downloadable content announced at E3 2014, will be available on PlayStation 4 starting August 26 in North America, developer Sucker Punch has announced. It launches the next day, August 27, in Europe. Pricing has not been officially announced, but you can preorder the DLC for $15 on the PlayStation Store.

Announced during Sony's E3 2014 press conference earlier this month, Infamous: First Light has you playing as Abigail "Fetch" Walker, a character from Infamous: Second Son who has neon-based powers. The expansion will tell her story, which includes heartache, drug abuse, and abandonment.

In First Light, you'll also get to explore new environments, including Curdun Cay and the snowy mountain passes surrounding it. Prolific voice actor Laura Bailey returns to play Fetch in the expansion.

As it's a standalone expansion (like Infamous 2's Festival of Blood DLC), you don't need to own a copy of Infamous: Second Son to play First Light. But if you do own the main game, you'll received various in-game bonuses, Sucker Punch says.

For more on Infamous: First Light, check out the video above from E3 2014.

I think it's cool how they made it focused on Fetch, her character was neat and deserves to be fleshed out more. Plus her power...Neon...was easily the best in the game and one of the neatest abilities in any video game. Ever. Looks like we will see what exactly happened between her and her brother, and how she accidentally killed him

I haven't bought content DLC for a game since Fallout 3. It's just to damn expensive for how little content you review especially considering it should have been with the game to begin with. Another thing I think is crazy is I'd almost bet my PS4 and all my games that all the great games that have been delayed till 2015 will have DLC shortly after launching when they could have taken these extra months they delayed it to add it to the game. If they continue to make DLC in the future which all companies will that's the era of games we live in they could at least make the pricing reasonable. There is nothing they could say that justifies paying 25% of the total price of the "full" game that most likely doesn't last more than an hour or two.

<< LINK REMOVED >> DLC has long been a way for developers to help supplement the high costs of triple-A game production. That's not something that is going to change anytime soon. I understand why you feel the way you do but I think we may just be feeling a bit too entitled here. Some DLC is used to increase preorders and is completely finished by the time the game launches. Although most content offered as DLC is either unfinished by launch or not even begun until afterwards.

You must also keep in mind that we pay roughly the same for a video game as we did more than 8 years ago. While the cost of producing triple-a games has skyrocketed in that time. If not for DLC we may well be paying $10 to $20 more per game which would be terrible for gamers. Especially when you consider that nobody is forcing you to buy DLC.

IMO I thought Second Son was a good game, not great. I thought the game was to short and this DLC should have been part of the original release.

I will be getting this at some point, depending on the price and amount of playing time.

<< LINK REMOVED >> "Pre-order ignorantly" is a redundant statement. The entire pre-order culture is one of ignorance, especially digital pre-orders where they don't even offer refunds. I saw on Steam a while back, that people got special bonuses if they pre-ordered SIX months before release. Insanity!

<< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >> Yes, how absolutely insane it is for someone who is going to buy a game anyway to pay 6 months in advance to earn bonus rewards. Insane indeed...

Meh ever since Sony announced this DLC at E3, I was not impress with this at all. For starters this DLC is late, should have been out like in May/June, I played, finish Second Son, good game, got all the Trophies and I don't plan on replaying Infamous anytime soon so with that, I'll just YouTube this.

Now if this DLC had been about Augustine and her awesome Concrete powers, I would have totally look into this.

<< LINK REMOVED >><< LINK REMOVED >> I don't know if they suck. I do think that you get them too late. You spend so much of Second Son with these other flashy, powerful and agile powers that its very jarring to be bulky and have your maneuverability cut like that.

It sure did. Concrete powers was underwhelming and Augustine Concrete powers is what really should have been for Delsin but nope, it just made the game look lazy but Video on the other hand.

Not interested till I see a trailer that justifies the 15.00 dollar price tag.
