I'd rather have Luke than some non-canonical secret apprentice.

I can't wait for this game and I am so busy with GTAIV already.

I wish they would Soul Caliber: Cold Wars. 360 gets Regan, PS3 gets Gorbachav(Thats probably not right). Each version gets Ollie North as a hidden player.

I agree with SavoyPrime. The Star Wars characters just don't fit. Why don't Namco just make a Star Wars based fighting game instead, or even a 'Star Wars VS Soul Calibur'? At least that would make some sense (more than it does at the moment)

Bringing lightsabers into the SC universe is just stupid. I'm glad I still have the first SC for my Dreamcast, I'm not even gonna bother with this crap.

Ha, very nice! Didn't see this one coming. Probably still won't buy the game (nothing against the game's quality, arcade-style fighters just aren't my forte) but im still excited to play this one.

@wiifan001 Soulcalibur Legends was actually pretty good. It wasn't perfect, but it was like Final Fight in 3D. And with swords to boot. It was genius for me. Unfortunately, people don't seem to like the idea of 3D classical beat-em'-ups. Too bad.

Actually I thought the last game with lightsaber duels was Star wars episode three game.

So instead of going to logical route and giving us both yoda and vader on both platforms, they're giving us a generic, uninspired lightsabler wielder to fill the gap.. Uh... Thanks namco?

This makes up for having Yoda instead of Vader in the 360 version. Was still hoping for Luke to be in this game but oh well take what you can get.

Revenge of the Sith had lightsaber on lightsaber action. Maybe you should edit that part Brendan.

Btw, this is cool and all, but will be very disappointed if I find Yoshimitsu or Ivy or something running around my copy of SW: Force Unleashed. Namco may be able to pull it off, but you can NOT BRING SOUL CALIBUR INTO THE STAR WARS UNIVERSE.

nice! i was dissappointed when X360 didn't get the sith lord himself to be honest i think yoda looks pretty stupid the way he fights in attack of the clones lol. but w.e, besides the point. anyway, now that the apprentice is in, i don't even care about vader. to have yoda and the apprentice duke it out, oh man i can't wait!

That's not entirely true kejigoto , if repeated playthroughs of Kotor have taught me anything it's that all of the normal swords will be made of cortosis and to prevent the non-Lightsaber wielding players from having their limbs cut off they will be wearing portable energy shield projectors.
