SimCity 4 goes gold

Electronic Arts and Maxis have today announced that SimCity 4 has gone gold and will be available in mid-January. In the game, players get to build their own city, assume the role of mayor, and then concern themselves with everything from housing and traffic congestion to schooling and tourism.

SimCity 4 boasts around 850 different buildings to create a living, breathing city with, and the city's inhabitants will react to every decision made by the player. For more information on SimCity 4, check out our previous coverage of the game.
