After grossing over $180 million in 2023, the sci-fi horror film Megan is getting a sequel on June 27. A few days before the new sequel premieres, the original film is getting a 4K Limited Edition Steelbook release on June 24. It’s shaping up to be the most exciting version of the hit sci-fi horror film, as it includes tons of bonus features alongside its exclusive steelbook case. Preorders are now open ahead of its arrival this summer.

Megan Limited Edition Steelbook Bonus Features

Three bonus features are advertised for the upcoming Mega Limited Edition Steelbook 4K Blu-ray:

  • A New Vision of Horror
  • Bringing Life to Megan
  • Getting Hacked

These are the same bonus features found on the existing Megan 4K Blu-ray. If you don’t mind missing out on the stylish steelbook, you’ll find this edition available for $15 (was $17.80) at Amazon. A standard Blu-ray is also available for $13.27. Consider buying one of these if you need to catch up on the action ahead of Megan 2.0.

Megan tells the story of a lifelike doll equipped with highly advanced AI. It’s supposed to serve as a friend to children and an assistant to parents--but when Megan begins going to extreme lengths to protect its child companion, things become increasingly terrifying. What follows is a chilling sci-fi tale about the unexpected results of artificial intelligence, one that earned generally favorable reviews from critics and is often considered a modern cult classic.

While Megan and its steelbook will look great in your collection, it’s not the only premium 4K Blu-ray worth checking out right now. Here are a few others to consider, most of which are of the sci-fi or horror variety.
