When it comes to powerful prebuilt gaming desktops, few brands are as well-known as iBuyPower. This year marks its 25th anniversary--and to celebrate, it’s offering a variety of prebuilt desktop PCs for big discounts. You can also use promo code IBP25YR to save up an additional $300 on your purchase, making this a good time to upgrade your battlestation ahead of the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Dragon Age: The Veilguard later this month. All of the rigs highlighted below are plenty powerful enough for both games.

The big draw of the anniversary event is the huge price cuts on popular prebuilt rigs, as select models are up to $600 off their list price. This includes the RDY Y70 001, which is now just $1,999 (was $2,599) and is equipped with an Intel Core i9-14900KF, 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD, and premium RTX 4070 Ti Super. That’s a great price for all that power, and it should have no problem tackling all of today’s most demanding games.

For something a bit cheaper, the RDY Element CL Pro is $1,549 (was $1,849). It’s built with an Intel Core i7-14700K, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD, and RTX 3070. At the opposite end of the spectrum is the RDY Y70 004 at $3,199 (was $3,649), which gets you an Intel Core i9-14900KF, 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD, and RTX 4090. That’s probably a bit more firepower than most gamers need--but if you don’t want to make any compromises, it’s a nice choice with this steep discount.

These price cuts aren’t the only enticing part of iBuyPower’s anniversary event. By entering promo code IBP25YR at checkout, you’ll get the following discounts:

  • $300 off RDY and custom desktops over $3999
  • $200 off RDY and custom desktops over $2999
  • $100 off RDY and custom desktops over $1999
  • $50 off RDY and custom desktops over $999

Note that these stack with other price cuts, giving you a chance to pick up prebuilt rigs at some of their lowest prices of the year.

Another perk of the sale is the availability of extended 3-year labor and 2-year parts warranties. Since you'll be buying a rig that costs well over $1,000, that should give you some much-needed peace of mind.

Here's a look at our favorite deals. These prices are before applying the IBP25YR promo code--so they'll be even cheaper at checkout.

I am not going to push consumers away from a decent deal and it is up to each individual. But I would not advocate for a prebuilt with a 13 or 14 k cpu processor at this time. The patch has been out and there is still reports of degraded cpus and dying cpus even with the patch. Was this because the damage was done before the patch or not - there has not been enough time to tell. Also there is many consumers reporting issues even with the patch and a new unused cpu. Whether this is natural failings or still part of the problem, enough time has not yet passed to predict. Just read up on Tom's Hardware for the latest news.

While this is a very small amount of the chips, they are all prone to early degradation because of over volting with many system setups. I would recommend that the warranty with these pre-builds include some protections, especially if the buyers does not know how to replace a cpu. And for sure do not overclock. Under volt-ing is not a sure fire fix, either. If you do buy a pre-build make sure to apply the new update for sure.

This is an AD-article by IGN, and they should at least mention some cautionary warnings. I am not saying all owners or all chips will eventually go bad, but the amount of degradation of the chips is a big issue. And an issue that at least needs mentioned in this article.
